Not sometimes but always, if they would send from  completely different addresses it would be harder to trick the victim

Normally users only check the 3-4 first and last, you're far safer checking the middle as it would take way too much processing power to generate an address that would also match another group of characters there since they don't know where the users would look, would they look at the 6-10 or 12-16 characters.

Ohh yeah ,that is almost the same if we will be looking in typical way of checking because the first and the last numbers are almost the same .

The simplest way to avoid these attacks is to manually save the addresses multiple times and possibly transfer a small amount of tokens to confirm. The US government also often transfers 1 BTC to test before moving thousands of their BTC, we should also learn and follow to avoid silly mistakes.

I don't use Bybit but I've heard they have a pretty professional support team. I hope you will resolve this issue soon and get your assets back. Bullrun is coming, every $ matters as it can bring a lot of profits in bullrun!
