From a lot Messi fans, sport analyst discussing about how Messi illustrious career and personal awards could be dented significant by failing to repeat his club side trophy decorated career in the national team, and all of a sudden he's a world cup winner, and copa finalissima winner and mostly now it could even be a back to back Copa America for him, and that'd also mean he's won all the last four tournament he's participated in with the Argentina national team.

I heard that this could be Messi last match for Argentina national team, it is the  same for Di Maria, so I am expecting best performance from them.
We dont know if that is going to be enough to beat Colombia that played amazing Copa America tournament so far.
I expect tactical match with not many goals scored.

I wasn't expecting Messi to hang his international boot just yet, because the next world is just about 1 year and 6 months away and it'll will be co-hosted in the USA, a region where Messi already is currently acclimatizing himself and family with, but that's still a long time ahead.

If Argentina should win the trophy and Messi decides to call it quits with national team, that'd also be Messi ending his international career in the best  way most players would have wanted to end theirs, so anything really is still possible.

My thoughts are the same as yours. I don't think this year's Copa America match is Messi's last match to play for Argentina, he should be anticipating retirement from the national team maybe after taking the Argentina team to the 2026 World Cup.

I assumed that Argentina would be winning the Copa America trophy by tomorrow. Messi will score the winning goal or be the one that will make the assist for the goal.

Colombia played very well today, they attacked very well but did not score.  Argentina had a very good attack but they couldn't score either.  But today the game is packed with both teams playing very well.  Argentina's Martínez is a very good goalkeeper and has saved many of Colombia's attacks.  Once again Colombia had a very good attack but they couldn't score as Martinez saved the ball very well.  However, within 40 minutes, Colombia attacked more.  Neither team could score a goal within 45 minutes of the game.

Both teams played very well in the Copa Final today. I really enjoyed watching today's game. Argentina's strengths are their match planning and goalkeeper Martinez. Relying on these two strengths, Argentina have won 4 trophies in the last 3 years. But there is no denying that Colombia played well. Hopefully Colombia will come back stronger in the future.

From what played out in the match Argentina was lucky to win Colombia because they didn't play anything as Colombia was in possession of the match till the end. Colombia was not lucky if not they should have won Argentina because they frustrated Argentina players and they also had many opportunities than Argentina. However, luck is also part of football and Colombia should part to be lucky next time because they have reached the finals three times but they were unable to win any of them.

Congratulations to Messi and his men because they don't deserve the victory.

Well in many opinions that I have seen, I know that there is a great discontent because Argentina won, sometimes we watch football and we believe that team X deserved to win, but it is clear that in football the one who wins is not the one who deserves to win but the one who scores the goals even if he played badly throughout the match, that is how simple and basic football is, I think that when it comes to penalties it is a question of luck, but if you win in the final minutes it is also luck and endurance, in this case Argentina had more endurance and intelligence to win, apart from the fact that the play was given to them and it was not a fortuitous goal or by luck, it was a goal well done by Lautaro, these things will happen to learn, Colombia knows that these mistakes are paid dearly, if not let's ask England in the Euro Cup.

At the end of the match even the extra time the match was kind of predictable but I think at the end without coming of match most of the people want Argentina's win that happened. But I will applaud the performance of the Colombia team because they also played well, they tried hard to get the win but a score from Lautara Martinez stopped it. By the way I will miss Di Maria in Argentine team.

Martinez is a good striker in Inter and he does not miss his strike so I am not surprised that he was the one that delivered his team from the hands of the strong Colombians who were frustrating the Argentines on the pitch. Argentina was very lucky in that match. Even when Messi was in the game nothing changed because  Colombia game tactics was better than that of Argentina and nobody expected such brilliant performance from them.

They sure must have felt it was the God of luck that smiled on them after Messi was forced to be substituted off match after getting injured during the game and unable to continue, Colombia would sure have thought that was the biggest advantage that could have being bestowed upon them, only for Argentina to still find a way to win the match, and Colombia have been very solid from the group stage, they also would have been a worthy winner if they had managed to win it.
