Even investing in old projects still carries with it a great degree of risk, it's all depends on the project one is investing in.
My long stay in the cryptocurrency space have taught me alot of things, cryptocurrency investment is not like investing in traditional assets, there is a great degree of difference, and here in crypto, the earlier you catch a really good project, the better you make profit, don't neglect or look away from new projects because some people say it's very risky to invest in them, like I mentioned before, some new projects comes with not just better potentials, but also with less risk, compared to some other projects that have been for a while.

So, when we talk about which or what projects are more risky to invest in between a new and old project, simply understand that it depends on the project individually.

Of course there could be a great profits investing on new coin and as such reversal could also be the case which in other terms there is 50-50% chances of losing or making profits from any of the new coins, so nobody really know the actual new coin that has the potential to feel the profits bag, however sometimes people advise to make some research about a certain coin before investing but I realized that even after all the research there is no way somebody will be sure of there future potential.

So actually I don't really think conducting a research about a certain coin will be able to prove there reliability because if we check very well there are a lot of coins people have researched and has a good road map and vision but after operating for some time they have rug pulled, perhaps that's why old coins should always be considered instead of the new ones.
