But frankly speaking Thread or topic starts as abbreviation is needed in the forum but the majority who didn't see the important of the concept said no. So we move on.
It may be cool to have it, but like i have already said, it is not so important to have and it should not be anywhere close to the top priority of the forum. I am certain the admin is working on other things, i.e. to know the posts one receives +Karma and -Karma, things like this are of more priority in my honest opinion.

Do you also know those things you mentioned, knowing the post has the +/-Karma is also not important priority for some users here? What is important for you is not important for another users. And as for me the two features are very much important because there is no way I would be coming back to check the Op in the first post or page always. And if the person has made comment at the middle or the last page of the thread then it is easy to know the OP.

I totally agree with you. The need for adding the op title to every thread create or post starter is important, as it would enable us to identify the post starter even from the second page of the post if he makes any comment. To some persons it may not be important, but what's the function of technology if not to make life easier and make things get done faster.  That could actually make the forum much more easier especially for those of us who had our first experience from BTT before teleporting, though this forum ought to be distinct from the rest to expose it's uniqueness, but adding the title op or something else could actually ease the work of the poster in identifying the op.

If that is what you think, then each to their own. In every system, certain implementations have to come first, because of how it would better the forum. I don't think the op tag is so important, because there is a simple way to find out who is the op in any topic, however, in the forum right now, there is no way to know the posts you receive a +/- Karma, so if you still think that they are of the same priority, then i don't know what else to say.

I'd say that the importance of those two are different though, judging from the fact that campaign or bounties use karma to select their participants. That being said, I'd be more than happy if there's an indicator on who started the thread, but I can see it being less prioritized or moved to a dedicated rank just like other features. Not sure how tricky it is to add one though.

This is very simple to know, because on the click of the thread, you're expected to start from the first page and at that, you will discover the first post and the user who made the thread, but along the discussion, maybe after some pages, you may not be able to identify such except if you earlier knew the user from the first page, some OP will continue the discussion on the page while some may not even revisit the thread in which they have created.
