As long as you gamble, you consider yourself a gambler already. It's only a matter of how often you gamble.

That is exactly what defines a gambler. And of course as a certified gambler you need to experience two things either you win or lose as draw is not an option here. And there two types of a gambler a responsible one and the irresponsible. It is up to you whether which one you belong to because I personally right now has just become a responsible gambler just because I learned from my mistakes on my previous gambling activities so I hope you do as well.

Dealing up with gambling could really just that only giving out that two possible outcomes whether you would really be that profitable or winning or losing on which it would really be just that depending on you whether you would really be considering on continuing or you would really be that stopping on the time that you have seen your losses is already that too big?
It all matters on how responsible you are on dealing up with these things because if you do find yourself not to be that mindful about on the actions you are taking and
you are really just that making some tolerance about your addiction, then sooner or later you would really be able to find out yourself on a tough situation or condition

I disagree with your one statement. I love gambling and almost I am a gambler. I may or may not be addicted. But when you reconcile gambling with trading I have a disagreement. Although big profit and loss can be made from trading but still I cannot say that trading and gambling are the same. Gambling is definitely different than trading. Whereas a trader can recover his wealth even after long time after investment but never possible by a gambler. When a gambler loses from gambling there is no way to recover it. But overall I can consider myself as a gambler.

For me, a player is almost like the definition of a politician, everyone can be one, but only few do it well, why? because there are many who talk a lot, others who do nothing, others who always lose and others who become cheaters..., and that is something that exists all over the world, for me a gambler can be any person who manages his funds. correct way, that they do not fall into addiction, that they do not lose all their money and that apart from this they have control over what they have, that they do not lose interest and that they do not lose properties or anything like that.

I think there is nothing wrong with what Op said, because if we have hope, it is valid, but don't let our hopes be too excessive which can cause negative impacts.

I think most people gamble with the hopes they bring, what makes the difference is when they know the limits of the hopes they have to apply. I also hope to win, I will not deny it, but again I know this is closely related to luck, so the hopes I bring are not big or just hopes without a desire to pursue them.

maybe some people think that professional gamblers should be called differently since they probably put themselves on a higher level than those who only gamble for fun or who gamble quite irresponsibly but i have not actually heard of any other terms for professional gamblers it has always been just gamblers do correct me if i am wrong though and that there are other terms for those who play professionally

When I hear someone is a gambler in my language it defines that somewhat he/she is a gambling addict which is not a good word to hear from others. for me, I gamble but occasionally when I feel I like to play I can consider my self as a casual gambler but not a gambling addict.

there are many in our society who view gambling only negatively, as it is often associated with addiction, gambling is viewed negatively by everyone in our region. Because all the people who gamble in our region are addicted to gambling and drug addicts. And those who started gambling have suffered a lot from their previous financial situation, that's why almost everyone in our region considers gambling as a negative addiction and always advises to stay away from it.

But if we can gamble within a limit by self-responsibility keeping ourselves under control, it cannot become our addiction, we can only gamble for entertainment from which we will not become addicted.
