Is it possible to make a short script for Drafting?

Wow, I'm just noticing this that the forum doesn't have an auto draft feature..unlike btt where you preview and your post is automatically saved for some time.its nice you brought this up mate as it's a cool suggestion at that.. what I normally do is that copy my post when writing after a few lines so just Incase something like the case you mentioned happens, I won't have much to worry about. You can also try it yourself or write on a note pad before posting it on the forum so this way you don't have to worry much about reloading your page..

And I am shocked that you and some other members did not know this before that this forum don't have a Draft system. When I registered on this forum the first thing I noticed while creating my first post was this forum doesn't have a draft system, and this problem is being raised now after a whole year has come to an end for BTT users teleporting here.

Well, that's a good thing after all maybe after seeing two to three topics created especially to raise this concern might get the attention of admin as patches won't be used by everyone only few members would be using them so official patch from the admin is best for all of us.

Can you tell why he's not going to enable it? Is it due to resources issue? Or maybe you can provide the url of the thread?

Personally, i have used the draft feature very few times in the other forum.

I guess I use mostly when something goes wrong with the post and I can recover it. Which is not very often there. I have more problems posting here (you posted less than 25 seconds ago all the time lol)

This is definitely a nice feature.  And since the forum is built with SMF this feature is definitely possible because bitcointalk is built with SMF and there is this feature if you type something and preview it then it stays in Draft for 7 days no matter how many times you refresh it.  So if admin want then enable this feature.  But I don't know if it is possible to enable Auto Drafting because btt doesn't provide such a feature

Without the draft system, writing posts can be sometimes painful. It might not be an issue for shorter posts, but it certainly is for longer ones. I have posted a couple of long posts here, mostly translations, and I had to edit everything either in BTT or an online notepad.

Currently I have been using this site (https://onlinenotepad.org/notepad) as a draft and other similar works...

I always support little improvement. But, honestly, I didn't face similar issues very often. Reloading the page could be a problem. But, if I close the browser or a tab accidentally while there is some writing, I always use Ctrl+shift+T to restore everything, even with my unfinished posts.

While writing this post, I willingly closed the tab and used Ctrl+shift+T to restore the browser tab, and it worked like a charm. So, as long as it's working for me, I will not bother admin much about it. But I am all in if he decides to make some changes and improvements. I don't think it will be a shitload of work.
