Scarcity of Bitcoin is becoming clear and we might not have to wait long to see its effects. Current market trends are already showing signs of this scarcity. There are only 21 million Bitcoins available and it is getting harder to mine them. We have already mined 19.79 million Bitcoins leaving only 1.21 million left. It took 15 years to mine most of Bitcoins so it is likely that remaining 1.21 million will be mined in less than 7 years. As it gets harder to mine investors and holders are becoming aware that Bitcoins will soon be scarce. As result many are choosing to hold their Bitcoins for long time.

I think these types of statements are not very positive for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency users in general. 21 years is a long time and in that period of time a lot can happen. How many people who are 20 or 25 years old now have almost $100,000 to buy a single Bitcoin?. I think in that age range there are very, very few people who can do it. In any case, it is good to be optimistic about what is to come, but always keeping our feet on the ground, reality may be different (for many reasons we may not even be able to imagine now), and dreams, are dreams.

True, that's where BTC enters the picture as it will protect our wealth from inflation.

And we also have to look at how BTC is going to be scarce in the future, and we know that it's the demand vs supply. And there could be some of us really preparing for the future and would rather invest and hedge our fiat and put almost everything in BTC. Just imagine next couple of halving, we might see $1 million per BTC as everyone is scrambling to get it.

13 million is a very big number, for me a million dollars is enough for Bitcoin, anything is possible but maybe many of us will not be around in 21 years to see this number.

Maybe it will be lucky for our children especially if we keep a good amount of Bitcoin for them now and leave it in a sleeping wallet for our children to inherit after 21 years, this will be the best legacy we can leave them, but of course no one knows what can happen in 21 years and what the world will look like then.

No one has seen the future who will live or not so most of us might not see BTC hitting 13 million in the next 21 years but I think that's logically not possible maybe it will touch $1 million milestone in the next 21 years but 13 million is impossible. The market cap of BTC alone will be too big that it will cross Golds.

Leaving something good behind for the next generation will show our love and family mindset. We should think for our younger ones and prepare them for the harsh world too.

i mean can you really learn and do better when predicting? yes but it won’t guarantee you a 100% correct answer still you can try your best studying and analyzing patterns and data but still not end up with the accurate answer

like us, they are also just being hopeful and guessing what could happen in a few years time look at some people who said bitcoin will crash by now and they were wrong so you’d probably rather be on the too optimistic side than be on the too pessimistic side

Sometimes, these successful businessmen are just making their predictions out of thin air so that people will think that they're into Bitcoin, but the reality is, the chances of our prediction and their prediction is just the same.

They're experts in business, and Robert is an avid gold and silver holder, but they aren't expert in terms of analyzing the crypto market. I can make a prediction as well that Bitcoin in a year will be at $500,000. It's just that, they're that famous that mainstream media is making news out of their predictions that they just got out of nowhere. Maybe they dreamt of it and that's all to it. Funny how these "so-called experts" are making unrealistic predictions.

On the flip side, it would be a good thing to see Bitcoin at that price after 2 decades, but what are the chances?

Why 21 years? Maybe because the BTC max supply is 21 million? Why $13 million? Maybe because 13 is a "lucky number"?

Saylor threw all his cards into BTC and it should come as no surprise that he makes such statements (although I personally have not read anything like that), and Kiyosaki has proven to be very unreliable and boring with everything he has stated over the years, so perhaps he has now found another strategy to repeat what others say.

After all, who will even remember what either of them said in 21 years? Especially if the price of BTC is nowhere near what is being discussed here.

The exact answer is because Bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21m Btc, one of the reasons people keep predicting Bitcoin on a higher amount in the future.
As we know, the world population is increasing, while the number of btc that must exist is just 21m, if you do some mathematics here, you may come to conclusion that in 21 years to come the world population may be double to what it is now but Bitcoin total supply remains unchanged. Therefore, there are chances that some of predictions we are seeing often may be taken into consideration, after all, anything can happen in life, and even on the crypto space.

I'm a big fan of Butcoin and crypto in general, but I've learnt not to get overly excited with predictions like these, because no one really knows for sure if this would happen.

Yeah, some people like to constantly be in the news, one of such persons is Robert Kiyosaki, people call them 'experts', though i don't agree but i would not get into that right now. Making predictions is free, anybody can do that, why we should believe you is another thing. We are pro bitcoiners and we want its success, but predictions like this is unnecessary.

21 years is a very long time and i cannot really predict that long, people usually make predictions based on what they hope will happen, rather than any rational idea or reason. We as bitcoiners always expect and hope for the best for the network, but it is good to also set reasonable and realistic expectations, i am not saying this isn't possible, but it is not something to hold on to in my mind.

I would be 88 years old so who cares.
