What is an escrow badge ?

An escrow badge is a badge that tells the community that the wallet collecting the money is an escrow provider (usually trust worthy entity, like the forum admin or DirectFund)

And tells the people donating, that the money collected will be released to the campaign creator based on milestones achieved.

Why is it important ?

It gives the donors more reasons to trust the campaign. As they see that the money will be spent according to milestones.


Do you need an  escrow badge for marketing bounty?

No you do not need an escrow badge, however you need either to transfer a percentage regularly to the marketing bounty manager or to an escrow provider
ideally for optimal trust, use escrow for the entire campaign, the escrower releases the marketing bounty to the bounty manager, this way the bounty hunters will be certain that they will get a percentage that correspond to the marketing bounty.
