For anyone to do this, it is a sign that they are already exhibiting symptoms of addiction, and if possible, you could try to help them get professional help.

I also think your sample size is too small to conclude. If you limit it to people with gambling addiction, I guess the answer can be true. I know people with no gambling addiction but made terrible decisions like you mentioned OP, so it's not exclusive to people who gamble either. I guess some people just have bad behavior. On the other hand, I also know some people who bet or pay a lot for games, but they never go as far as lying to their families.

That's definitely true knowing that a lot of people have a chance with having money and feeling that they could make a fortune out of it by seeing stories in social media that someone has managed to become rich in gambling. A lot of people are now affected with gambling addiction and it can affect the integrity of an individual if they are at that verge to do everything in their power.

I know people who are like that and seen to be an addict with gambling.

If any gambler show this attitude or behavior then the gambler is really a very bad addicted gambler.  Many of gamblers can have the habit of no integrity cause they are always eager to get money and can take any risks and measures that may follow.

Gamblers with no integrity are really common now a-days not only gamblers can has no integrity both normal individuals can exhibit that same behavior cause this world now is full of untrustworthy humans many can do a lot of dirty act for paper called money.

Those that are mostly affected are those who gambles excessively and doesn't pay attention to how they would regulate their gambling practice, also those who gambles as the only sources of income are the people who may likely fall into this categories because they can be dishonest to people just to fulfill their gambling desire.
We know already, that those who control their fillings and also gambles moderately can still be honest because they don't to be entirely subjected to gambling where they will be gambling excessively.

The only people that are doing the things that you've said are those addicted gamblers who are ready to tarnish their integrity and pride for the sake of their addiction which is gambling.

I know people that have done the things that you've said, and it's quite unfortunate that people prefer to gamble the money that is supposedly for far more important things.

Gambling can affect a gambler, but only those are addicted, and even those addicted gamblers aren't affecting their integrity because at the end of the day, they can still control themselves especially when it comes to money spending for gambling.

It will come back to each of us, because whatever is done is based on what we think. For some people it does have an effect, but we also cannot assume that all people (gamblers) are like that, because once again it will come back to each of us. Usually people like that are people who are addicted to gambling, at least that's what I see in my environment, but not all are like that like gamblers who come just to have fun for example.

Yeah, unfortunately, there are people who are too deep in gambling. It's either they use money entrusted to them to gamble or use it to settle their personal debts (caused by gambling). As much as possible, I don't transact with people who I know as a heavy gambler. It's too risky.

Not all gamblers are like that. If you do it with a responsible gambler who values your friendship, then you have no problem trusting your money, but if you entrust your money to an addicted gambler, expect the money never to be returned and it will be accompanied with lies, so if you're going to entrust your money, be sure to know what kind of gamblers you are entrusting your money to.

could be addiction. they can't just help it. and there are also who hasn't met the right person who would teach them the right lesson. the harsh punishment will always mark in their mind.

once they met someone who would slap them with all its intention to KO the gambler who used not his own money, he will learn the lesson to respect. the ones he met are either the ones who have yet not met the Tony Soprano of his life or do not value life.

I know gamblers that are untrustworthy here in my place they are clever but there are instances that they are caught and get beaten and there once an incident that someone got killed for that kind of stuff and that happened during a cockfight derby. I personally stay away from those kind of people to avoid any problem.
