Is There Any Draft System?

Thank you for giving me a new perspective on online notepad, maybe it can be my solution when my notepad++ crashes or has other problems.

I never experienced any major hard crashes using Notepad++, so I believe the reason you migrated is probably due to convenience. As long as it works out for you I don't think that's an issue. Though if the forum has a draft feature then we don't have to worry about this anymore.

I talked to my local moderator recently and it seems like he also has issues with the lack of a draft feature. It would be great to have, even if it's limited considering how convenience it is for members who like to make new threads or long post.

I think I've seen more than three topics created about this, including one I created myself, and if there are more topics open for this discussion, I may not have noticed them.
And I've seen most of the topics get positive replies from other members, meaning suggestions for implementing the drafting system.
However, it is more important to seek the attention of the admin than our local moderator on this because I have not yet seen any statement from the admin on this matter or it has not come before my eyes.

I will advice you to use a browser that will not refresh by moving your finger on the screen down. Many mobile browsed are like that. You will be at the top part of the page and the page will refresh if you want to scroll more up but which is not possible because you are already at the up part but instead refresh the page for you. Not all mobile browser do that. Although, not that it is a perfect solution but it will reduce the chance such will happen.

It's just setting, "swipe down to refresh", if your browser does this, go to settings and disable it.

If an advance software is used, even if you close the browser, what you posted last will automatically generate itself as if you did not close the browser at all.

That's kind of hit or miss. Sometimes my browser shows data as if nothing happened, and sometimes it wipes everything up.

I have faced this same situation on several times, and most times, I just believe I should have copied it on my clipboard, to avoid this situation happening again. If this can be fixed or added to the forum code, it will be very helpful.

It is a very nice thing that the moderators and members of this forum do all they can to make sure things work perfectly fine, and I'm sure that this will be fixed when the moderators looks into this situation.

IMO, he sees everything and takes a moment to implement new changes. But if you think he missed this important feature request, then why not just post it in the chatbox? That would be the most logical action to draw his direct attention. 

To be honest, adding new features can be tricky, and without testing properly, it can lead to disaster. So, it's better to go at a slower pace. By the way, does the SMF have the option for a draft feature? How come we have this in BTT, which uses an ancient SMF version, whereas ALT uses a newer version and still doesn't have it? Doesn't make sense.

I'm sure admin is aware of this. If there isn't any update then it's likely not a priority feature to add to the forum.

Thorough testing is definitely important, and there's a high chance the developer has a testing environment to add new features. Yeah, SMF has a draft option by default iirc. I'm sure Bitcointalk is heavily modified so it doesn't really make sense to compare it to this forum. If there is enough time and manpower to do the same I'm sure admin will do the same. We already have features that are unique to this forum like the news bar under the chatbox. CMIIW.
