Lol, it is crazy, everyone wants to launch a memecoin and make money from gullible people who would buy it. Some people will argue that few people still make money from memcoins, but that is if somehow the memcoin gets hyped up and they buy early, they will take the money of others and leave them with a dead coin. I agree that stuffs like this should be regulated, even the president got in on the act, lol.

When there's profit to be made, people will also be there. It only becomes a problem when a big investor with friends in Senate is among those who lost money. That's when they take action.

Its still a wild west in crypto after years and we thought there have been regulations already because there are cryptocurrencies being approved on their ETFs. These memecoin rugpulls proves there is no clear regulations.

Don't you think this madness must stop now? Or at least tomorrow?
This is the reason why there's not that much liquidity going on to those top tokens out there.
Most of the investors are thinking of a quick profit hence, investing into meme coins particularly the newly created ones.

This will only stop when pump.fun will disappear. I mean most of the meme coins are being created under Solana, and if that website goes down, it might create a domino effect towards meme coins therefore, investors will go back and invest into top coins again. This is just a theory though, and we don't even know if pump.fun will disappear in the foreseeable future.

This madness must stop, but the reason is HOW?? How can you stop those investors who have the mindset of "quick-rich profit"? How can you stop these investors from putting their hard-earned money into new meme coins? How can you stop these investors from these madness? That's the question that nobody can answer.

In December we had 2.4 million meme coins on Solana.
Are you sure about this number? I don't know, maybe there is a typo because it is hard for me to believe that this number exists on the Solana network alone.

Anyway, regardless of whether this number is correct or not, but of course I agree with you that the situation has really become unbearable, especially for meme coins. It has become out of control and meme coins are being created daily by the thousands without a goal, project or value, and the worst thing is that celebrities and presidents have been involved in this madness.

In addition to causing losses to millions of users, it also causes liquidity withdrawal from Bitcoin and strong projects. This is like a deadly cancer that has spread in the body of crypto that may eventually cause its death if the regulations controlling this madness are not put in place.

Yes, and that's December numbers.
People have identified full farms that are printing tokens each hour, there was the talk about a single person who created more than 16 000 meme coins alone , the numbers are real, everyone is minting coins like it's no tomorrow, and the math is simple, they spent 10$ to create something that might earn them at least $10 at least so it's profitable when multiplying them by the thousands not even mentioning if it's a real hit.

This celebrity endorsed memecoins are going to keep launching until I guess the government prosecutes Trump for being a memecoin owner as well which it could happen after his term. Meaning there's 4 more years these shit show.

Well, people wanted Gary gone, now enjoy the shitshow called freedom!

This number is really scary it shocked me, I was even more shocked when I looked at the total number of coins on CoinMarket which is now 11.67M and this number is constantly increasing.

This is really crazy, there must be an international body or organization responsible for regulating this madness otherwise this will get out of control and could threaten the entire crypto market.

Yeah, a meme coin for everyone, each guy having his won meme coin.
Then everyone's pet, then every merchant, every brand, then every book, every character, every movie, every recipe, everything.

In December we had 2.4 million meme coins on Solana.
The growth since the Trump meme coin has been at over 300 000 a week, the pace is actually increasing

I wonder how much worse things can get than that:
-A guy issued 18 000 meme coins alone
-There are 21 tokens launched each minute on pumpfun
-Out of the last 100 000 meme coins launched 93,591 ceased to be traded in less than 7 days while only 720 had at least one trade over 28 days since launch.

Don't you think this madness must stop now? Or at least tomorrow?
These numbers are really new and awesome too haha as people are not giving up I am not used to trade in memecoins especially on Sol network but still people are giving their best to create memecoins so they could get some big investment from some big invesor who is also trying to find the next big gem.

I don't know if that's the right approach but I do know this is the dumbest approach ever I saw. This has more chance of making lose than profit. Therefore we should stop the madness but still it is doing no harm to us because the trading events are too low for a single month.

Meme coins will be like something that is mushrooming and growing very quickly, every day. And meme coins can be a source of wealth as well as a source of great loss. yes, the point is, meme coins are high risk, high gain probability. Because indeed, many people invest in meme coins and experience very large losses. but on the other hand there are many people who also get very high gains or profits from meme coins. so, what does it all depend on? Yes, it depends on each individual in investing it.

Don't you think this madness must stop now? Or at least tomorrow?
I don't think it will stop now or tomorrow or some time in the future. because meme coins are a very promising business. for developers and their teams, this is a very good field of profit. and unfortunately, there are still many people who are interested in investing in emme coins in any way.

This is really crazy, there must be an international body or organization responsible for regulating this madness otherwise this will get out of control and could threaten the entire crypto market.

Well, we had a true Bitcoin maxi in charge of the SEC, but people wanted him gone because he tried to actually apply the law, now as I said before , enjoy the rug pulls and sams with no one thrown in jail as crypto becomes a joke on the international scene.
The US president pulled a rugpull scam, the Argentinian president did one, thousands of influencers and celebrities did the same, nobody is to blame and outside the crypto dedicated forums, everyone that was neutral now sees crypto like a scam as we have returned to 2011 with these morons.

People were cheering the meme coins effect on Solana, how does it look now?

This is pure madness and it doesn't stop now as people enjoy spending or you can say losing money on those meme coins and scammers are really the ones making money from the meme coin market.

The scammers and also those greedy influencers are making thousands of dollars per day from Solana based meme coins and they promote those coins crazily.

I believe the best we can do is to avoid those coins and not even look at the meme coin market.

It seems quite difficult to stop meme coins as long as this is still the hype of the season. Since the success of Doge, fans of meme coins are still very much, and the hype about meme coins has not subsided until now. Even Trump also issued his own official meme coin. This proves that the hype and people's liking for meme cons are still quite high. and this will be quite difficult to stop. because for some people, meme coins are a project that makes money very quickly. although on the other hand, there are also many people who lose because of meme coins. so, we just have to decide which side we want to be on, or neutral by not getting involved in the meme coins.

With Solana losing 30% of its value in one month of raging meme season and meme coins getting trashed one after the other, wherein the popularity if prices go down?
Price going down means less demand which means less popularity!

so, we just have to decide which side we want to be on, or neutral by not getting involved in the meme coins.

So, a choice of being either a drug lord or a drug addict?
Funny how people were so against companies and stock market and banks before while saying that we should trust Bitcoin because it's decentralized it's not run by anyone and so on and now it's all about DYOR.
I'm seriously wondering how can someone who defends meme coins say anything bad about fiat.

There will be no stopping memes, as long as they are still in the market and there are still fans who always invest, then they will always exist even though in one day there will be many new memes.

Not to mention if we talk about hype, I'm sure there will be a time when memecoin becomes a hype again. It can't be denied because what we saw before was also the same and it repeats itself.

Don't you think this madness must stop now? Or at least tomorrow?

It may take a long time for this madness, as you mentioned  to stop. The sooner many of this newbies investor realizes the implications and the massive risk that are associated with meme investments, the better for them and the community.
You see, there are many investors, especially newbies who will not ask questions before embarking on investing on these pump and dump memecoins scheme. I think that many of them don't even listen to advice, it is a pity that many will fall into this memecoins traps because many of them think it is the easiest way to make quick profit.
