Would you buy?

Yes, I would buy if there is a good chance I can make money out of it. There has had been many talks and discussions on RWA which can expand the scope of the cryptocurrency industry as any established assets can then be sold with the use of the blockchain technology and we can also experience the so-called fractional ownership. Now, am focusing on profit potential because without it then this will not be getting a good reception from the investing public...people will just resort back to memecoins especially to those looking for dramatic and solid returns on their money. Overall, RWA can be a good option to add to one's investing portfolio and can certainly open up avenues for ordinary guys to get involved with stocks without the usual route of traditional investing.

it seems to be one of, if not the most profitable sector of crypto this recent year so it can be considered as part of my portfolio though not my priority

moreover if it can be bought through peer to peer platforms instead of centralized exchanges more the good news if the regulatory risks will now be dealt with by the sec

Yeah, buy it from someone in the forum without proper documentation/papers and then you wake up one day to a frozen tokenized stocks ;D What's the point of owning it anonymously when you don't control it and it's highly regulated? The most 'anonymous' thing you could probably do is have Company issuers make your information as private as possible.

At first have to consider if that would be that profitable while making my investment because most this might likely comes with a bad motives to just to follow hype in the cryptocurrency space, and how other business has been incorporating with the digital currency. If tokenizing stock market could bring a huge benefits and global impact then fine, but there must be a kind of investment guaranteed where if they would lose their investment so quickly.

lol Thats just disappointing. Yep it can happen. blockchain owned by centralized system means the assets could be frozen because its highly regulated.

It must be understood by all that RWAs could be frozen if you send it to a private wallet.
I find it a stupid idea to tokenize them yet not allowing anyone to withdraw the tokens to a wallet.

I've never participated in the stock market, even though it's growing very strongly in Vietnam, and many of my colleagues are actively investing. I don't like Vietnamese stocks because the market is manipulated too obviously.

If stocks in the US were tokenized, I would treat them like tokens in the crypto market, and I would trade them for profit if I saw some clear opportunities. If this happens, the tokens in the RWA trend will increase in price extremely strongly, which is also a great opportunity for us.

     -     I don't know if that's a good step they took regarding RWA, because if it were me, I would still prefer to invest in top cryptocurrencies that have been proven
in this field industry for a long time than that. Maybe for others it's a good step but for me, it's still not my priority.

Because in my understanding, whale investors are more controlled compared to cryptocurrencies, so, crypto assets are not high volatile,
it's fine for me and at least I see more here that there is no manipulation happening in their price.

Of course, I welcome any good, profitable investment option in my portfolio, but I expect there's no way to buy them anonymously.

How would you buy them from someone on the forum and transfer them to your ownership? I expect they're only available on centralized exchanges, and there's no P2P option available, so I don't think it's possible to buy them directly from someone else.

I understand that Stablecoins are already tokenized assets, just like those backed by gold, for example. So I wouldn't have any difficulty buying tokenized shares on the stock market either, but it's a market with regulations and documents that need to be present. I don't think it would be viable in the p2p model without that. Maybe this is the future of most assets. If I'm not mistaken, even oil is already being tokenized.

If I have spare money, I might buy them. Just for the sake of not being too late and of not regretting of investing late. And so if it becomes a flop, I won't also be feeling bad about it because it's just a spare money that I have used. So, that's how it should be. It's encouraging to invest when the big companies gets in or starts it. But we have to be careful as well if they make a trend or else, we don't know that we're encouraged to do it for them to exit.

I might be misremembering things, but this sounds very similar to the tokenized stocks that some projects or exchanges have previously promoted. You're trading a token pegged to a stock asset but has no ownership, etc. So you don't really own those stocks or earn dividends at all. If this RWA stock or whatever goes the same way, I doubt people would be interested in them. Even if they somehow managed to make the token represent an ownership (which is a security), I don't think I'll buy them. I'm pretty sure these stocks would be even more volatile, so I might as well dump my money into Bitcoin instead. CMIIW

That's what I thought exactly.

It's like having no keys for the coins you should "own", so that is a no-no for me, at least.

But it would be interesting to see what would come of such a development from the other members that are interested.

I don't have experience with the stock market, so I don't have plans to participate in it. I also haven't been able to get used to the small fluctuations of the stock market compared to the crypto market ^^

If tokenization becomes a strong trend in this cycle, I'll be interested and look for opportunities from RWA tokens instead of taking risks in a market I don't have experience with. OM token has increased in price quite significantly in this cycle, and I hope that when RWA returns, many other RWA tokens will also have similar upward momentum.

CMIIW

You mean the synthetic tokens?
I remember that one too, the narrative was shortlived when those platforms turned scams. But I think there are few that was left alive still.

Yes the stocks are becoming volatile this days after Trump tariff sets. The stocks are plunging down while BTC seem to find the bottom at 82k. This could be a signal that it will blow up once again and maybe heading for new ATH.
