Let's assume you have $25k to invest in crypto. How would you diversify your portfolio? What are the things you will keep in mind? What will be your though process?

Now let's assume I have 25k and I am willing to invest all of them into crypto. First of all, I would use 20k to buy bitcoin and use 3k to buy altcoin (etherum to be precise) and the remaining 2k will be used to gamble on other altcoins. Why I used the word gamble is because many altcoins are 99% risky and me using $2k to buy them I need to know that I'm risking my funds on them.

Bitcoin is always the main choice in investment and this is what makes you allocate more funds to bitcoin. but if I have 25K I invest in bitcoin 15K and the rest I will divide into several top altcoins such as ethereum, BNB, XRP, Solana and cardano. coin selection based on our respective analysis and considerations and for me investing in top coins is not gambling because the top coins have high fundamentals and are very popular.

Your plan is not bad but since you will have a good amount of budget to invest then you can use that money in Launchpool or IDO without gambling. Because gambling is based on share, I don't think it is a good idea to test your luck. The amount of money you want to invest in Bitcoin is a very good plan. Because Bitcoin is the only most trusted coin where you will never lose your money through long-term investment. But if you invest in other coins, you can also lose in long-term investment.

I think its something good for us to learn from others mistakes before it becomes our own turn, we can avoid losing our capital for nothing sake, this will comes after we are well informed of the necessary steps to take regarding investment, because our purpose for investing is not to lose but to make profit, we will therefore try as much as possible to avoid investing ion a wrong asset which we dont know much about.

That can be a huge outcome in bitcoin investment and I will not use it to invest in any other crypto but only in bitcoin. I don't like the diversification of investment because I tried it in 2024 and I lost my funds 30% of it.  And since then I have been observing the Crypto market closely and bitcoin is the best crypto to invest in both the short term and long term.

Though many people like to invest in different Cryptocurrencies but I will only invest in bitcoin with that amount. One thing in bitcoin investment, the more the amount is big the more profit you have when the price rise up in the long term investment plan.

  Generally saying just like everyone else, majourity of this $25k funds would would definitely go into bitcoin of course; since it’s basically the most predictable one amongst the cryptos as intend not to accumulate losses just like every investors
   However ,since the market could be very unpredictable, i would choose to preserve maybe 7-8k from the money, in order not to prevent going bankrupt just incase as it is important to be aware that even with the wisest investment strategies, alot of possibilities could still happen.
  Now precisely speaking; 12k could go into bitcoin, following the dca strategy with about $500 per two weeks. Solana and etherum comes next as i see them as the most performing cryptos after btc  with equal amounts put into same cryptos.3k for each. I would prefer to hodl while investing in both coins actually.
  25k is alot of funds and if managed properly, you could mutiply that just with the right financial decisions and luck ofc.

I thought I was good at investing but the current market trend has slapped me hard. So, I would just play safe with this 25K and stick to BTC.

Well, indeed, you are not the only one who felt the impact Altcoins had on its investors, I also invested heavily on Altcoins last year just before the bitcoin halving happened, believing that there would be a massive bull run again which could trigger a massive Altcoin bull run too, but unfortunately, this did not happen, bitcoin went up quite alright but every Altcoins i invested in remained stagnant or decline instead of moving up.

Really disappointing I must say, but never giving up, I've sold majority of the Altcoins I invested in at a loss hoping to go in again at a cheaper rates when opportunities show up again.
Bitcoin is king but still good we diversify regardless.
