Trust wallet is not the best for your mistake, we have unstoppable wallet and metamask there, trust wallet is a closed source non custodial wallet while we have other ones mentioned above as open source non custodial wallet, i cant disproof the fact that trust wallet is also recognized, but it is obvious not to be the best in terms of what any experience crypto user may want from wallet type it belongs.

People who use these wallets to collect bounty rewards barely care about whether the wallet app is open source or closed source. They just want to do airdrops and bounty and want to collect their reward. I won't ask them to choose a different wallet for such purpose. But if someone want to hold their altcoins, then they should go for unstoppable wallet.

I do not recommend metamask, Instead they can use Rabby Wallet which is similar to metamask, but more friendly interface and provide more options than metamask.

I assume by elite coins you mean the top 20 or 10 coins on aggregator websites like Coingecko. It's a good idea to switch to HW and ditch a hot wallet like Trust Wallet if you plan to hold for a long time, but even if you're planning to farm airdrops I think the inconvenience of HW is a good trade-off if security is what you're looking for. I think we need to push people to open source wallets if they can't afford HW as mentioned above. Over-reliance on MetaMask or other apps isn't good, especially if the developer is a centralized entity. CMIIW.
