Throwing all altcoins in one bag is not the best idea of looking at these things. Some projects will set new ATHs even during the bear market, while other might fail to do that even during a bull market.
But assuming we're talking about the major altcoins, reaching new ATH, for the most of them will depend on whether or not the bullish stage of this cycle will continue, i.e. if the current situation is just a correction (or accumulation phase) or whether we entered the bear market. Obviously, your comment is appropriate in this time. So i am also agree with your prefer opinion. Because we know that bitcoin is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency world. I think that gradually bitcoin price will increase in cryptocurrency market. We obviously know that bitcoin passing a new ATH in this time. We also know that when bitcoin price reach up level in cryptocurrency market, then others crypto currency price will increase gradually. So i believe that if we wait for increase bitcoin price, it must be helpful for us.
