Why do people believe and invest in fraudulent ICO?

As far as I heard, the ICO Scam raised over $ 1 billion. Why did people invest in these ICO? Do you think this situation has changed now?

Yes, this trend is going to end soon. Some countries are becoming more strict to the SCAm ICO. Such as China. And it is also a matter of less knowledge of ICO. Some investor does the mistake to choose the right ICO. Because without proper justifying they do invest based on some groups and ICO website analysis.

I hope the era of SCAM ICO will be end soon.

Unfortunately many investors still search for easy money, hoping to make a million with virtually no effort. This makes it easy for scam ICOs to prey on their (falsely) optimistic outlook. If something seems to good to be true, it generally is. It is still possible to be caught by a scam if you do your own in depth research, but it would make it a lot less likely.

High benefits attracts the most specially the new investors. Normally we always look for easy gain to get rich soon but the problem is at the end. We can't blame the investors because they are just at the beginning of their journey. That's why still there are scams  ICOs because there are new comers in crypto that can possibly be the next victim.

Actually, not all ICOs are scam. You just have to dig deeper on your research to find out which ones are legit. Not all ico scam. everyone should be able to choose ico well and invest as needed. ico offers great bonuses and the chances of success there if for the long term.

I think it is all because we have a dream in us that tend us to do such in assured things, we wanted to earn that is why we are investing on some ICO even if we don't have the assurance to earn, sometimes we loss but we are just absorbing it because we have much determination. We need to believe that there would be a good end after all.

Because ICO is very interesting and very profitable. If you get good ICO, You will get alot benefits.

People who invest in ICOs are attracted by offers and how much they stand to gain by investing. Am not sure anyone walks into a scam ICO knowing its true nature and still risks loosing money. They have no idea it's scam, plus these types of ICOs tread on human greed.  If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. A little more knowledge about crypto would help to identify when ICOs come promising Unachievable dreams for investors.

You tell people and you tell people..  (I'm assuming you meant Bitconnect because of the 1 billion dollar market cap) that this model isn't sustainable... even several people knowing it wasn't sustainable invested anyways.. its unfathomable what people were thinking... and its really embarrassing.. but I'm glad it was shut down, stuff like this really makes crypto the laughing stock sometimes to the rest of the investment industries.. It's time we train people around us to invest with a bit more common sense.

If they know it is a Scam, then they will not invest there. Maybe they did not know that the ICO that followed was a Scam, or maybe they really believed in what he believed.

Yed I think We must be carreful to choose ICO, too many ICOs scams. ICO is very profitable, I like it.

Actually, nobody sees the fire burning and decide to go into it. Most people probably don't go deep down on research before investing on these numerous ICOs at the end, they got scammed.
I think this days it very difficult to spot reliable ICOs, one realy need thorough search on various site, plus social media to get good ones.
