What are possible outcome on coins/token trading competition exchanges?

As a trader on crypto, i like to know some good or bad outcome in organizing trading competitions. I had participated on two trading competition but failed to be listed even on the consolation prices, though i did not meet up the buy/sell average conditions of the competition.
Again, even if i wasn't listed as among the winners of the competition, the coins/token could not pump despite the high rate of buy/sell activities(volumes)the these coins, and worst still, these coins/token continued to crash even months after the competition ended.
Now, let me learn the purposes or reason for organizing  some trading competition. Your thoughts
