The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) just released amendments to proposed rule changes for five different ETF proposals currently under review.
The amendments were filed late on Thursday afternoon and affect nine separate bitcoin ETFs proposed by three different groups.
The proposed ETFs are as follows: GraniteShares Bitcoin ETF, GraniteShares Short Bitcoin ETF, Direxion Daily Bitcoin Shares, ProShares Bitcoin ETF and the ProShares Short Bitcoin ETF.
In a separate document, the SEC has outlined that the order disapproving the proposed rule change concerning the GraniteShares Bitcoin ETF and the GraniteShares Short Bitcoin ETF (SR-CboeBZX2018-001) will remain in effect pending the Commission’s review.
In today’s announcement, the SEC also declared that any comments in support of or opposition to the GraniteShares bitcoin ETFs would need to be submitted to the SEC by October 26, 2018.
It is also noted in all amendments that until further review is complete, the official decree of disapproval still stands.
