Gas fee for air drop distribution, legit ?

I don't dare to say on whether the projects that require gas are scams or not, I just share my sad experience: I participated in 3 airdrop campaigns that require gas at the end of the campaign to receive tokens (gas = 0.5 USD, token = 5 USD), but in the end it's just fraudulent projects, no real team, no participation in any crypto events or seminars ... So I'll never send gas to receive tokens from airdrop again!

When I see a project asking for transaction fees, I go away. If they cannot [ay the fee, they are incapable to make a project work.

Airdrops are free as the name implies. some projects can't afford to pay for the transcation cost. that is why they request participants to pay the fee. some are legit while some are scam. the possibility of getting a token is sure but it might turn out to be a shitt coin.
