To choose ico, it takes good time and experience. a trader or bounty participant must have a lot of time as an experience and accurate information about the ico project. The project whitepaper is basic information, there is still a lot of information being sought to determine whether the project is feasible for investment.

I do look at the token metrics yes but i lean more towards the white paper and the teams visibility and reputation.

What i look for on project TEAM members are as follows

- available to talk to (could be in telegram, discord or Reddit)
- Do an AMA to wherever they prefer
- attending events
- presenting the project/product as much as they can
- good previous reputation is a big deal too.

I think that everything you wrote here does not give a guarantee on the choice of the correct ISO. Even if the thoughts of the developers are clean and everything is done as it should, there is always the possibility of failure. The proper number of investors was not found, there was a collapse at a crypto-exchange and no one wants to buy tokens, the project’s topic was no longer relevant, suddenly the team decided that the project wasn’t pulling and was suddenly hiding with money.

the core team and solid community is one way that will go well in the future. especially Coins / tokens must have a good partner, have a physical office (original), you can see office videos on youtube, and see them working, have plans to enter exchanges, incoming exchanges, hitbtc, bittrex, livecoin, binance, bancor, poloniex and others.

I think the first determination to choose the ICO project was the achievement of HardCap, but there were times when it was rather difficult to ensure ICO success before HardCap, perhaps by looking at the rodmap, the support team and developers helped a little to consider.

I want to add some advises. 
A good ICO has a clear whitepaper and the roadmap. The product should be promising and potential to survive lasting. And it also needs quality team members with various experiences in crypto business.

I think to choose a good ico requires personal experience. as a first step it might be to check the concept, team and development of the project This is always specified in their Whitepaper.

A good roadmap is very important to choose a good ICO. On the other hand how many budgets are offering to ICO and per token price also very important. Soft cap and hard cap achieving is also very important here. So if anybody wants to join an ICO he should check these matters.

ICO is good. I am still confused looking for ICO which is good for the current conditions. The number of ICOs does not reach the sales target of tokens, making investors less trust. good ico may be the indicator is a great team performance.
