Opt-in is a new currency granting method in which the NEM (XEM) owner voluntarily declares to receive XYM, and the start of opt-in means that the procedure of the user who wants to receive the new currency is started. .. The opt-in web page and terms will be available on the 15th. XYM's opt-in has been available for six years after launch, but details on how to do that will be announced in the future. The following is the schedule for the future.

Only Nem desktop wallets and Android mobile wallets will be opted in from the 15th. The iOS version is still unavailable at this point, as it still takes time to prepare. It also explains that opt-in for multisig accounts is done using a desktop wallet.

Currently, Japanese exchanges that may have a mechanism for assigning XYM are Zaif (expression of correspondence), CoinCheck (correspondence examination), GMO coin (correspondence examination), and bitFlyer (immediately after starting XEM handling) that handles XEM. It will be good for NEM holders. New token distribution to holders is a form of appreciation and new aspect of strategy to easily smell the name of the token. The impact is what matters. Anyway, I see it as the importance of token and token holders. I hope it will become successful as NEM succeed.

Is it a fork to upgrade NEM blockchain or just a ticker change and rebranding from XEM to XYM I don't understand it completely but I see how the NEM Blockchain team eagerness to bring NEM blockchain to the next level and I think its a good idea to push through and thats what I see it.

No wonder the XEM token has been raising since last week.i plan buying the token recently and i need to hold because it is a long term project. the current price movement shows there are more update to come. expecting more News.
