DeFi hype has just begun says Neo founder

DeFi is the word on everybody’s lips. The hype around DeFi is not fading away and is only just beginning, said Neo founder Da Hongfei, during a live stream on China’s Hub on Sept. 25.

Da said DeFi created a process in just a few years that traditional finance took hundreds of years to perfect. DeFi projects are now experimenting with all sorts of financial products and services.

Haha, it is probably true that the majority of DeFi participants only understand DeFi in terms of sound rather than its true value. DeFi's nature is good, but its current form qualifies as a HYPE: high risks, unclear returns, most of the motivation comes from blind expectations and investments.

We are witnessing actually the first phase in the hypes surrounding the DeFi trend. Sure, this trend can be existing towards 2021 but I am also sure that by that time "investors" will be more discerning with projects they are supporting after many experienced scams and failures. The problem, as always, is greed. The cryptocurrency industry has been saddled with many scammers and hackers and they are also taking a dip with DeFi as an opportunity to make quick millions.
