Considering her recent statement that it is necessary to "cut" bitcoin, and in general her negative attitude towards cryptocurrency, this is very bad for participants in this market. It is hoped that Biden and the US Congress will not heed Yellen's advice.

Considering her recent statement that it is necessary to "cut" bitcoin, and in general her negative attitude towards cryptocurrency, this is very bad for participants in this market. It is hoped that Biden and the US Congress will not heed Yellen's advice.

I think she is more inclined for more regulations to be in place for the cryptocurrency industry so that illegal activities using cryptocurrencies can be controlled -- though this idea is really controversial because most illegal transactions are still using fiat money as they know that the blockchain is actually recording everything. Let's see how things can be shaping up in the new Biden administration relative to cryptocurrency.
