However, some people are still not getting the memo, some members think they have found a way to rank the lazy way!

News Flash >  WE DO MONITOR OUR FORUM VERY CAREFULLY

Thus if we find any user copying posts and topics from other users on this forum or elsewhere, if the post is 80% identical [statistically not possible to be random, but rather intentional] //  this does not concern quoting.
the user will get a penalty,
the penalty will range from:
100-100,000 points reduction
1 to 4 ranks demotion
1 to 100 negative karma
Plagiarism strikes

• Removing negative karma: You lose some of your points and you need to burn 1 ALTS or 1$ worth of ALTT per negative karma.
• Removing plagia strike: You lose half your points and you need to burn 5 ALTS or 5$ worth of ALTT.
• Removing plagia penalty: You lose all your points and you need to burn 10 ALTS or 10$ worth of ALTT

Bonus :
Any member that detects a user plagiarizing, report the post with a link to original post and you will be granted 1 to 6 karma

Plagia penalty: if a user gets 2 plagia strikes, it will be removed by admin but as a result the user will use between 10000 to 30 000 points

Since 2018 the penalty for plagiarism was as follows:

the penalty will range from:
100-10,000 points reduction
1 to 3 ranks demotion
1 to 10 negative karma

Due to members now having 100+ karma, as well as upto 100,000 points, + new ranks, this penalty range has since been increased:

the penalty will range from:
100-100,000 points reduction
1 to 4 ranks demotion
1 to 100 negative karma
