Because their CBDCs will have better functionality than their current cashless payment system, CBDCs should be around for a long time until something better comes along.

Yeah the government has launched CBDC, at EURO and US.
At China , the government have digital yuan.
I think many government will launch digital currency, but not crypto currency.
They will have centralized platform and being controlled by the government.
The government should learn about decentralized platform, But It seems difficult to happen.
