Do you think it makes sense to address someone who was last on the forum almost 1 year ago? Maybe @Jokers should start awarding that necro bumping badge for some who started bumping old threads for no meaningful reason...

No offense, but I think you can do better than this ;)
Thank you for the recall.. however I have decided to filter out some relevant topics to me than just paying attention to some old topics.
And again it's better for some of those old topic to be locked.

Is it not easier for us to sit down and take time in learning on how to trade than waiting for someone to teach us on how to trade and render us into vulnerability, come to think of it, if we are going to be get someone else attention, whereby that same person is also a busy trader, but willing to spare us his time, teach and guide till we get it right, without paying him a dime and he is not our relative, how true could this be real.
Yes, trading on your own will be better than waiting for signals from others, learning technical analysis and fundamentals so that you don't have to rely on others.

People on youtube just want to benefit themselves, by spreading their referral links then they will make a profit or they become brand ambassadors to advertise supported trading platforms.
This kind of trend where Crypto Youtubers only want to benefit themselves through promoting anything as long as they're being paid has been on-going for a long time already. I've seen many YouTube influencers promoting this and that project and most of them are new. There are some who just want to make themselves rich through these referral links. TBH, I hate them, but it is what it is, and there will always be investors that will sign to their referral link.

As for trading, I agree with what you said that we must learn how to trade ourselves than relying on other people's signals. Learning TA would be a good start if you really want to start your journey with trading.

I'm A Newbie: How To Tell If I'm Being Scammed.
ADVICE
I joined a popular professional crypto YouTube channel and began one-on-one mentoring through Discord.

He trades on webulltradingbot.com, and he wants me to join that site so he can guide me.

In my research, webulltradingbot.com seems legit. But it's been operating for just one year.

I told him this and he claims this site offers unique opportunities that other sites don't. I open an account and do a wire transfer of $10,000 to it. It's Chase Bank in Ohio.

Now he is pressuring me to put more money into the account so I can make more money.

There is another site called webull.com and I mistakenly sent them an email asking a question. They replied back and said they are not webulltradingbot.com. They claim that webulltradingbot.com is a fake site.

I told my Mentor this and he said it's a legit site.

Why is he pressuring me to add more funds? Wouldn't a professional crypto trader be trading on a more popular site, such as Coinbase?
Am I being paranoid thinking that he created webulltradingbot.com and is now a rogue YouTuber trying to scam people out of their money?
You should mention the YouTuber’s name here for more accurate answers because if any member already knows about that YouTuber, you’ll get a quicker response. I searched and didn’t find any site called webulltradingbot.com, but I did find webull.com, which is a legit site with a good amount of traffic.

More traffic usually means the site is legit and offering something valuable to its users. It might be a scam, and now you don’t want to admit it because you’ve already sent a large sum—$10k—which was a mistake on your part too. You should’ve started with a few hundred dollars to see the results before moving such a big amount into their accounts. I hope you get your funds back if he turns out to be a scammer.

Now, this can be true also in many social media platforms so we must always doubt on anyone trying to open up our wallets for money transfer. When I tried to open the webulltradingbot.com it is already dead and that certainly confirm this is just another big SCAM.
Yes, now in almost all social media scammers exist and need to be careful, when someone offers trading services or any signal, beware, it's just a trap. Influencers with a lot of followers will also not support and they will only work according to the profits they will get and not think about others.

As you mentioned, it's a very risky tradingbot service and will certainly just disappear when they've made a lot of money from their victims.

It will be better for mods to get the old topics locked than all this advice given, thinking that your advice is been heard by OP, not knowing that you are talking to yourself, not the OP.

OP, the last three posts are centered on questions about him being scammed by someone. No feedback was given on how he tackled it

The right and good person to teach crypto is ourselves because we can get scammed by other people because we are not careful with every step we take. I first knew crypto only from a friend of mine, the rest I myself sought knowledge about crypto, until now I don't want to get scammed. So, I am currently more inclined to be careful in the crypto circle.

I'm aware OP created this thread 2 months ago, but it's worth to mention that the scam website no longer can be accessed. So at least the scammer need to buy another domain.

I didn't see anyone mention "reverse" or "cancel", which is weird since theoretically it's possible to reverse or cancel wire transfer. I'm aware it's been 2 months since OP create this thread, but IMO with $10K loss, it's worth trying make a report to the bank and providing all evidence.

That's good advice but if that person has withdrawn all of his funds from the recipient then he is 100% a spammer I doubt how we come to trust these social media famous influencers I once followed an influencer on YouTube and I watched a lot of his crypto videos but when I applied for the content writing role on his site and was asked to write a full article by him and then he did not even replied to me I got the idea that they are not who they show themselves on the internet they are totally different in person.

I no longer trust one influencer and the ones I am following keep saying on their social media platforms that if you want to make money by trading then you guys don't have to send me the funds instead you just have to create your own accounts and follow me if you want, but with your own risk so this is what seems to be real.

Overall, feel sorry for the loss of the OP I hope he somehow will be able to get his funds back although it was made via wire so maybe a case can be opened against the scammer.

The money you’ve invested into this is very big and I don’t know why you’d give in to invest such a big amount in something like this. You should have started small and seeing how well it goes for you, then you can add more funds and invest more. I am not that familiar with stuffs like this but there’s some probability that he may be getting at something, why will he ask for more funds when the initial one is yet to be released or concluded the task it’s been used on? To me, I see a red flag but it’s still possibilities because I’m not sure too.

Unfortunately I can't access the webbulltradingbot link via my PC, whether it's blocked due to location or maybe the website is down... I don't know for sure...

What is certain is that if there is coercion, it usually raises a lot of suspicion... because a good mentor should also think about his student's finances... something that is even forced seems like a way that is quite suspicious. I might agree with the people here who agree that for trading for a beginner, the right place is on a professional website like coinbase, or Binance. Its reputation is better, so it is safer to store your money as a newbie who wants to learn trading.

Now he is pressuring me to put more money into the account so I can make more money.
You should not be pressured or be under pressure to invest your money. Investment should be done willfully and if for any reason you feel under pressure and then the gut feeling to stop, stop investing. You should only invest in what you understand, and when you invest in what you understand, you would not need to be doing it under any form of pressure. I am not saying this person is a scammer, but just so you know, you can be scammed by a prominent YouTuber, a CEO, an influencer, a mentor or by any other person with a title.

You should develop trust for individuals based on who they are, not based on the title that they carry.

But I'm sure it's a scam, and I'd rather suggest avoiding someone who is too pressurizing to make a deposit... it's true, to start an investment, we usually have to deposit initial money first... but the amount should not be determined by someone, because the money is still our own responsibility...

Instead of focusing too much on the advice of the youtuber, you can discuss here to get advice from friends here. You can start from zero and I think the advice from friends here is good enough to respond to a beginner too.

Indeed, it is necessary to be suspicious and we must remain vigilant when there are some irregularities. especially if it is related to deposits, especially with a fairly large nominal. If it is a deposit for a transfer fee, then it is quite reasonable, but if other deposits with a certain nominal as a condition, then we must question it. when in doubt, just leave it, because once we get scammed, our money will really be lost.

It is better to focus on finding other projects or more on top coins for investment. too much trust in influencers or YouTubers is not always good, because some of them are only oriented towards money, because of promotions and others, some are even involved in the scam.

The sound of $10,000 for a mentorship class is already discouraging. To me op was just carried away by the idea of learning crypto trading because he wouldn't have been so fast in sending such amount without proper thinking. The the second stands is that he is been asked to wire even more before the mentorship class will begin. More evidence of a scam. I know this post has been old and the op probably or already forgotten this, but then it would still be better for anyone thinking of any social media class, to be careful with whom they deal with online. There are lots of scammers whom creates channels claiming to be a trader just so they can scam others.

Not only youtube, there are many scammers can use different social channels like fb, tw, ins to cheat you. But you should always be aware because you will risk money on the word of someone you don't know. You will get always be helped in this forum and all topics including crypto ideas are presented here. Moreover youtube will make any video to get referral and commission because he himself is a fraud. To survive in crypto hold your funds tight and do your own research on everything from your investments. For this you should practice a lot so that you quickly become a smart crypto user.
