I tried searching for the ETHM token on Coinmarketcap and only found Ethereum Meta with the smart contract https://bscscan.com/token/0xbb38f4b6e289aa900505c92bd9743bd4d3c8d2de and a market cap of ~$6.15.

I also tried checking your address 0x1d62de9585a29Be2faA7eD4f3404DeBeCEA8e508 and found the ETHM token with the smart contract https://bscscan.com/token/0x0b33542240d6fa323c796749f6d6869fdb7f13ca. In my opinion, this is a phishing token and you should avoid trading it on DEX. Be cautious with any token that you can't find reliable information about on BSCscan and Coinmarketcap.

You're absolutely right, it's a phishing token, and almost all of us have received tokens like that. I don’t even trust explorers anymore, haha. My main EVM wallet is full of these useless tokens, but the OP did the smart thing by asking about them instead of linking their wallet to a phishing site, hoping to cash in.

Many newbies think these tokens are real, and they wonder why someone would send them such tokens or how they could be harmful. When I was new, my local community warned me not to engage with them and just ignore them. Even CoinMarketCap will sometimes show the DEX listing for such spam tokens, making you think, "Oh hey, it’s legit." Comparing the smart contract is the best way to identify a spam token. Nowadays, newbies struggle to distinguish between test tokens and real tokens in their EVM wallets.

Others already pointed out that your tokens are probably a scam, but I'm curious whether you've done your own research or not. Is there any specific question that led you to post this thread? Do you need some tips or tricks to figure out scam tokens? Are you familiar with explorer or not?

As far as I'm aware, any decent wallet will show you that some tokens are suspicious right away. This is obviously not a guarantee, but it can serve as an initial filter for phishing tokens regardless of what chain you use. CMIIW.

One should always view as suspicious when suddenly a coin or token appeared in one's wallet especially if you know for sure that you never bought them and never interacted in anyway with the source of such a digital asset. I have so many of these in my many wallets and I find them disgusting all because they are meant to trick us to exchange them thinking we can get some money only to realize that we might lose some. I am hoping there is a way to purge these scam coins from my wallets...and I am looking forward to see a warning in all of them so we can be warned beforehand of what can happen. Now, a site dedicated to finding these scam coins and tokens can be helpful...hope there can be one for us to use most especially the newbies who might be tempted to cash-in.
