Uniswap just released a username for its official wallet users, Uniswap provides usernames for all wallet users from Uniswap for free, will this be the replacement for the ENSdomain that many people already use?

Isn't this using the same technology though? Why would people ditch ENS, especially because their Uniswap unique address relies on it? As far as I understand it, they just make it cheaper and easier to claim a new address[1]. Ditching ENS would mean this will no longer work and provide no benefit at all, other than collection purposes I suppose. I personally see no use for ENS or similar tech for my needs since I prefer more privacy.

Yes, this domain or username just looks cool, but the function remains the same and when making withdrawals or deposits you definitely prefer to copy paste the address to avoid mistakes.

Username provided by Uniswap is free, there is no transaction fee.
For all the domains that I have, I got them for free, I only bought domains from Space ID and even then only as a condition for participating in events from Space ID.
Investing in domains is not recommended unless you get them for free and resell them.
