I just heard confirmed news update that Roger Ver was released on bail, this happened few days ago so it's possible that he accessed his own bitcointalk account.
I don't know how much money he had to pay for this temporary release, but it's probably a lot.

How is anybody supposed to stay sane in there? They should copy the Nordic countries' prison model (Sweden, Finland, Norway and so on).

Finland have the best conditions and their prison is more like a hotel with separate rooms.
I don't think Spanish prisons are like that but they are probably better than most prisons in United States.

Ver has been promoting a coin that should fulfil the task of BTC according to its original goal - which is to replace fiat.

You are smearing Ver as a BTC traitor.
BTC traitors are those crypto people - how about you - who are accustomed to use BTC just as a tool to make money.

Has he even been extradited to the US? There is nothing in the news about it!
And in cases that involve extradiction process, you can't get out on bail, Spain didn't arrest him for a crime committed in Spain so they can ask for one, they arrested him on a demand from the US, they can't release him no matter what guarantee he comes up with!

Anyhow he was stupid, even if we ignore the traveling to other countries, from the start when he renounced his citizenship he gained a St. Kitts and Nevis one, a tiny country that has all the agreement possible with the US, so how exactly did he think this will work out?
He fled to St. Kitts and Nevis the same year these guys signed the FACTA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) with the US.

I mean he hasn't tweeted since april, so I do not know what happened with him after the arrest to be fair, all I could find about him is directly related to arresting and nothing more after that. But to be fair I can't really say that I am still shocked. I see people here who support and defend him because he is a "bitcoin person", but he has been damaging to bitcoin in general and wanted to hurt it with block size wars, but on top of that the charge is literally tax evasion (or tax fraud if you want to name it that), so what was the expectation, to let him do tax evasion just because he likes bitcoin? Still silly to me.

No.
He was only released on bail from Spanish jail.
This was confirmed by Cake wallet CEO Vik Sharma who had a conversation with Roger Ver about this, but he didn't reveal any more details about his case.
Maybe his lawyers found some loophole in his case since Roger is officially not an US citizen since 2014.

He was not stupid, especially after they arrested him the first time.
Nobody should be forced to pay extortion taxes like in US today, and it's all for funding bunch of wars in foreign countries.

Now we have official confirmation that Roger Ver was released on bail from prison in Spain, and he had to pay €150,000 or $163,000 for this.
He also had to agree to remain in Spain, handover his passport, and report to court every few days, until extradition decision is made.
He is stuck in Spain for now, but he doesn't plan to become a fugitive:
