Its not a force that you must make use of a particular wallet type, this is not mandatory, you have your choice to make, use any wallet that you see is a cold storage and that has the privilege of giving you access to your private keys and the wallet should be an open source wallet, trust wallet is not an open source wallet, however you can still manage to consider it if you think of changing from safe wallet back to trust wallet.

Can you tell the URL of the wallet? I can't comprehend on what wallet you are referring. The only "safe wallet" available on google is this one "app.safe.global" and it's for ethereum chain only if i'm not wrong. It's open source too which is good, although i just heard of it so i will question its reputation which is the most important thing. I can't see decent review about the app/site too.
