Sony has been intending to enter the world of crypto for several years and not only now. Currently they have purchased the exchange, but before that last year there was a huge project for Sony “Sony Blockchain” that was scheduled to be launched in 2024 thanks to Startale Labs, the separate company affiliated with Astar Network where the project was described as the most important use case for Web3!

I don't know if the project is being worked on or whether it has stopped.
I don't remember seeing this project before. But since that website state it should be released on January 2024 and Startale last blog on Jun 28, 2023[1], i have feeling it's quietly stopped.

They have been at it way longer, they've tried quite a few projects before, there was a lot of hype about Theta, on BT they ran nuts at that time claiming that they had the youtube/netflix killer

there are few tokens/coins that have real world utilities, like:
$THETA - which is revolutionizing streaming industry
Call me when the revolution is over finised successfull
I can barely find articles about it anymore:

I do not remember the last time I saw a device produced by Sony, but it would be useful if they added an exchange service to their devices and the registration steps were simple and foolproof.
The moment I let my TV connected to an exchange where I have funds is the moment I will start buying that mining toaster

I can imagine having some friends over and one asks if he can go grab a beer, and while he's at it maybe buy some doge also, just swipe his card in the fresh fruit locker and scan his id at the ice dispenser!
I know I might be old school but there are some things that I simply can't see feasible, and history has quite agreed with me lately.
