Why the negative Karma?

If you think someone is giving you negative karma on purpose, like without any real reason, then you must report it to the admin, as last time there was a member who experienced the same thing, and he reported this behavior to the admin, and he looked into it and came up with the results that the member was saying was true, so for compensation, the admin rewarded him with some karma if I am not wrong (I am not very sure about the refund of karma, but you should search for it if you want).

The problem is how can you tell who gave you the negative Karma in the first place?  Every user has their own way of doing certain things same way different users here their different reasons for sending karma there are certainly users that may find a negative Karma fit for someone who seems rude to them or probably someone who doesn't have the same view with them.
Similarly users still have different reasons for sending positive Karmas too some users will let certain suggestions just slide while some would not hesitate to give a positive Karma to such suggestion.

I gave you another +karma but you have to realize some people could just be fucking with you and others to see if they get a rise. Trolls abound on every forum.

I am sure there is a person that just gives -karma to a lot of other people.  Not that I would but I could neg a whole thread just to see if the admin would ask me what the fuck are you doing Phil you gave everyone in that thread a neg.

I have to think some one is doing that on this website just to see if admin asks them to stop.

I believe that you are not far from the truth, because there are many teleported accounts from BTT that some may consider expendable and honestly they don't care if they get caught or not - they have unlimited amounts of karma to play their dirty games. In relation to how many people you have irritated on BTT over the years, the chances are that much greater that they will use this non-transparent system to take revenge on you.

Only ten? I would dare to say that in my case it is about several tens, and when you look at my MS application on BTT, you can notice that it is one of the least supported at all. But some things we simply have to accept, because if someone doesn't like you because you did the right thing, then you know that you did something really good and right.

I never saw such a topic, i guess i missed it, if you find the topic, please share the link here for others ro read. If this is true, it is kind of helpful but not so much, so many people would not want to report something like that to the admin, it is just better if we can see who gives us karma and on which post we receive it, so if there is an abuse, it will be easy to spot and deal with.

Its really hard now for me to find that topic because I read that topic in the 1st quarter of 2024, maybe in January or in February. I also don't remember if I only read that topic or posted on it too. Well, he did get justice from the admin when the admin looked into his case and found that someone was giving him negative karma for no reason.

Well, if you want to appeal your karma review, like if the OP or you think someone is abusing karma, then you can put in a review request, but there are several terms and conditions you first look into.

Well I can't really tell because I've been soo busy off forum with a couple of designs. Anyways it seems I stepped on someone's toe or something like I don't really get or know how. Anyways I noticed my boy gave me a notification that I received a positive Karma on some random post however later in the day when I came back online I found I had 19 karma since I was busy  I really didn't take note but after a couple of hours I think, i got some other notification of a negative Karma.
Could it be that probably someone mistakenly gave me a positive Karma and instantly countered it with a negative Karma or did I really step on some toes unknowningly to me?

People receive negative karma because they are not behaving as appropriately expected of them, if you spam, you may receive negative karma, if you also troll or post off topic content, such may require any member in giving you a negative karma, though its not that common here in a situation where you will often see members receiving negative karma, most active ones are being given a positive one as long as they are posting with quality contents.

Yes who are receiving negative karma he has some problem,  So he getting negative karma there has no doubt. We know here has some rules and regulation for this Forum members. Who violeting rules obviously he will get punishment and Negative karma also a punishment i think.

We know many users are doing copy past, mis information, and Spam post. So they are getting negative karma. So my advice if anyone want to stay with this Forum he must have to Honest. Otherwise he couldn’t good from this Forum.

The punishment for users who abuse Karma is to lose the ability to grant Karma for a set period of time, as we saw a few days ago in a case on the forum. Even so, the user's name is not made public, the administrator only applies the punishment and returns the Karma to the user who has suffered the abuse.

Since a few days ago, moderators have also had access to Karma logs with a delay of one week, this way the administrator will also have "help" to find and identify possible abuses.

My only wish about karma is to know what post gets a negative. I can then tell if I wrote something stupid or if the person is just being silly.

This has always been my wish as well because it will help newbies understand where their problem is when they see posts which they have -/+ karma, Imo it will be an improvement. On the Nigeria board, they created a thread where (newbies+) will submit a single quality and well-constructive post every day to receive karma, which has kept the board active with quality posts and no karma abuse. If the admin makes the users who gives karma visible or indicating something on the post they get karma there will not be as many threads complaining about karma again.

Sauron of eye is the feature introduced by the admin where we have to burn the ALTT native token of this forum and we can see who gave us negative or positive karma as there are other tools to see when we get the karma but we can't really know who gave us negative karma. I know first we have to burn some ALTT but we can get them for free by converting our activity points into the tokens lastly I also converted them and it is also considered good and contributive to convert them but I am not going to convert anytime soon for now

Negative means something bad i.e. negative karma means participation in some anti-forum activities where negative karma is given. Giving negative karma means advance warning not to participate in anti-forum activities.
