The whole crypto market's been pretty volatile lately. Most people are jumping on the meme coin train, with celebrities hawking their own tokens left and right. It's all about that quick cash grab, but have you seen how many of these memes dump once launched? People get stuck holding the bag, hard. So, the question is, could there actually be a meme coin with staying power, like the Dogecoin or Shiba Inu? And what's your advice when considering joining one?
In a highly volatile market and these memes are relying on hype and shilling with no solid use case I doubt if there are meme coins with staying power.
The popularity of the memes depends largely on the hype and support of the whales, its more like a follow-the-leader type of thing.
Investors are going from one meme to another and this is one big proof that no new memes will have staying power.
Agree with you, maybe there are some of them that can survive, but it is a very small number and can be counted compared to the number of new meme coins that are born. Almost every day there are always memes born.
Meme coin investors are also usually only there for a short time. Just to make a profit and they switch to another meme coin to do the same thing again. And so on.
So to answer this question is quite easy for me, namely that there are no or very rare memecoins that can survive.
