Day trading = Addiction?

Day trading is one of the high risky mode that can drain our capital in no times but there's always people compare day trading is kind of an addiction but I beg to differ with that statement. I have been day trader in the past but I only traded Bitcoin with stable coin and fiat, it was good but then I moved to long term goals and if it's an addiction I could never be able to stop it right?

I think it is possible that someone could get addicted in day trading and continuously checking the markets and forget their responsibility. That is possible and it could lead to the problems that addicts experience. It’s that significant financial loss that is the problem and you can easily solve that especially in trading.

You just need to do some risk management and not be emotional. You need to look more into having long-term goals and why you are doing it. It doesn’t have to be an addiction.

This is more reasons why I don't actually like to listen to people sometimes when they speak of what they don't know... Dat trading is one of the best trading plans anyone can make for himself. It doesn't actually matter if you are a day trader or any kind of trader, the main idea is that you are making money from your trading activity. Anyone who makes too many complain about trading is simply because they don't know how to and are upset probably because they lost too much to it. To me, I consider scalping as risky not day trading. Day trading gives you enough rest as you only get to place your trades and let them play in 24 hrs or less...

I have been gambling for years but I am not gambling frequently. Sometimes I may not gamble at all for weeks. I think that means no one can be addicted to gambling? I hope you understood what I mean by this. Not everyone is addicted to something someone can be addicted to.

I think that that you could express a best opinion in your topic. I don’t believe that day trading is the same part of addiction. We know that day trading is also the best profitable in cryptocurrency market. But we also know that day trading is also very risk for us. But if you could understand in trading and if you trade your crypto carefully, i believe that you could be success in crypto trading. We also know that when we want to trade, then we will be face in risk. So i believe that we must need to long term goals for best trading.

To be frank, addiction can be on anything like one can be addicted even on biting his nails which can be nasty just to think of. the things that we are doing can also be addicted if we allow ourselves to be swallowed by them and this is a matter of mental health and to be honest it can be easy to get addicted with something most especially if it has already entered our comfort zone. So I don't see a reason why anyone can never be addicted to day trading even if it can then lead to loss of capital. And in this case the whole thing has already turned into a gambling activity...something which we should be avoiding in the first place.

Any habit can be considered as an addiction too but literally it's called Addiction when it affects mental or physical health or financially or in any way that degenerate ourselves. But talking about literal terms not everyone day trade should not be considered as addicts in any way but those are said by people who don't even have any idea what's trading or being regressive old minded individuals.

addiction in cryptocurrency trading i suppose is better than gambling. you only need to have a better understanding and better decisions to win which seem to be the general rule of thumb however to make substantial win being a day trader i think you would need to be in the futures market.

trading on spot market is easy you could just hold if price doesn't hit the target but in futures, its going to be different when it comes to leverage. and when you get addicted to trading means you may decide to trade just for the sake of executing short and long and not base on good understanding of the market.

If you are successful day trading and you become addicted to trading, it can be good because such an addiction can contribute to your success in life. The addiction becomes bad however when it is putting you in financial danger that is when a pause is required to reassess your strategy.  That is why if you happen to get addicted to trading, you have to be careful not to gamble at the times when you shouldn't because you cannot control yourself.

doesn’t mean you didn’t get addicted is that it’s no longer an addiction for other people there are cases where people are more immune to addictions and therefore do not really fall for such

it’s possible it’s high risk and most likely gives a trader that adrenaline rush that most addictions supply it’s also possible that they are addicted in earning money that they can’t stop doing this however it can get really dangerous at some point

if they start neglecting their own needs and their families’ just to keep trading it may have detrimental effects to their health not to mention that they might lose some money in the process and since theyre addicted they will just continue only to lose some more

I would never consider day trading an addiction. Because those who do trading must do it consciously. But it can be an addiction for those who invest with the intention of trading without adequate knowledge and re-invest after losing there. Day trading is risky because of small mistakes there is the possibility of big losses. Those who are day traders usually live with cash which is why many people may not be able to control their greed. Addiction is seen in some traders but not for all. Anyone who trades after gaining skill and sufficient knowledge and facing loss which is a part of trading.

Addiction to anything, even if it's good at first, brings only bad in the future.
Thus, it shouldn't come to that - you should always be in control of what you are doing to be successful in the long run.

Yeah, you should always do it with a cool head.
Because otherwise, things may go south very quickly.
At some point, it's going to swallow you full, and you have to not let that happen.
