Punishment for scam.

I haven’t come across any scammer with the scammer badge, or maybe I’ve not yet interacted in the board where users which such tags are being discussed, I mean the reputation board. I would love to see a user tagged with the scammer badge to see how it really looks like.

You can check this thread by a

So far my stay here on this platform, I have not really seen any much complaint about scam activities by members to have been scammed by anybody here but I have seen lots of tag to account profiles which are visible and clear to see. The admin is up and doing to his task in monitoring activities and engagements. Aside plagiarism and AI, I barely see a case of scam accusation and other crime threatening situations here which means that the platform is very much secured enough that nobody could do any ill act and get away with it so easily.

Credit should also go to the judges here, not just admin. Admin plays his part but otherwise judges have been delegated with labelling users as scammers. Global mods otherwise do not have this authority, predominantly because it's not a moderation issue. It otherwise seems like compared to recent years there are generally less scammers that have arrived at this forum attempting to scam users, potentially due the consequence of being labelled a scammer I'd like to think.

For now, the forum is clean from scammer's mods and the admin reacted immediately when someone reported a scammer when it proves that person is a scammer you'll notice the scammer badge or anything related to suspicious membership.

I think the badge is much better since it’s said to be bold and written clearly for anyone to come across and see. A forum without rules for scammers will become a place for more scammers to reside in, it is good penalties are being taken on them after scrutiny.

PX-z already pointed out the badge and what it looks like but that's not the only badge for "Suspicious Membership Groups" You need to check this thread below to see all badges at least you learn about all badges, meanings, and what it looks like.

Good to know that scammers get tag here by the administration team. On other forums most scammers are tagged by the members not by the administration team. The reputation board is going to be a really useful one to report such scammers.

I think most of us don't know very well how the court works but during the short time we have been here most of the complaints have been dealt with. The real test will be if the number of users increases and how the judges are chosen.
BTW it is nice to see PX-Z as D.team

Judges have been elected by senators in the past and have otherwise been appointed by president/admin. Potentially the senate would become responsible again for electing new judges in the future if required. With 4 judges at present I think this is sufficient, the forum has been busier and survived on less Judges before, and generally the forum court isn't that busy.

Newbies can misunderstand what the red tag mean or meant, but can never misunderstand when the see a boldly written "scammer" tag posted below the user's forum name.

Glad to know that proven scammers are given scammer badge visible enough for everyone to see. It is a welcome development. I have never seen that, maybe I will have to look carefully this time around if I can see one.
I know that as the bull run is on the way, there'll be inflow of scam projects and innocent forum users who doesn't know how things might easily fall for them.

We are optimistic enough to see such a development. Since there is no barrier for members of this forum where anyone can easily identify a scammer. So many people are getting the opportunity to scam from here, so all these things have to be considered. We always respect the activities of the admin and would like to see some new development activities as well. We cannot discount a scammer easily so we always want no one to become a victim of scamming.

I am glad to see a reputation sub board. In the other forum, reputation is among the strongest boards. When your matter gets to reputation and you are not a good user of the forum, it takes a supreme intervention for you not to get red tags.

So, in this forum, what's the punishment for a scammer or let's say someone who's lost a matter in the reputation board. Will -ve karma do it? Let's say the person has 1000 karmas, do we need to be giving -ve karmas untill the 1000 karma is reduced to negative?

We can from our own end try to give a negative karma on such users, because we have them like that in numbers who don't care of what others might be passing through from their actions, while from the forum end, they can make the necessary judge over such case after being reported to them, its what i can also advise more that we should always seek to know more than relenting one one idea about scam and the forum.

I was looking for one of the pioneers in the forum to answer  the question and here you here. I appreciate your respond. The forum is still on the developing stage and I believed time will come that specific public forum participants will also have the right to tag those fraudulent users.
