Why are mods allowed to insult users but not the other way around

As you can see from the excerpts below in the past - in a specific thread dedicated to me - I was insulted as a fake news spreader, a scammer, a conspiracy theorist etc.
I want to know why in this forum admin, mods and their friends are allowed to insult users but not the other way around.
