There's some pushback from the Democratic Party (Rep. Gerald E. Connolly) urging the Treasury to reject the strategic reserve proposal:

That's not much of a surprise as we already knew that democrats have a lot of non-crypto friendly members in their ranks, but I think, judging by the argumentation stated in the article, it's more of an attempt to hit Trump himself rather than the reserve idea.
