It is well observed worldwide that the bigger your capital, the corresponding bigger profits to be obtained.
From OP's topic, it is clear that the man needed more funds which urged him to go on borrowing from a Loan giver to enable him maximize profits.
He only forgot the principle of investing as much as you can afford to loss, I may likely not see him a as a greedy man, rather as somebody that doesn't have the right perspective to the crypto market.
I know people who also do borrow from others to make investment and they prosper, understanding when to buy and when to sell and also where, when and how to borrow from those you could pay off without heart attack.
The man just lacked proper knowledge and maybe he probably made investments at the wrong time and the market turned against him, but it's clear that investments can be placed on long term, so on the long run, he will probably see his profits.
But he may likely be unable to please whom he borrowed from to exercise as much patience as that.
