Aqua wallet - Bitcoin, Lightning, Liquid

          -   I read this on the other platform, and you brought it here. I'm just asking, do you think these apps are okay for storing Bitcoin, whether mobile or desktop? With the number of wallets that appear today, it seems that they are difficult to trust immediately.

Aqua wallet is one app, and it is only used only for mobile devices, but they are working on desktop app.
Read what I wrote above, this is a hot wallet used for bitcoin and liquid network, you can use it like any other hot wallet for spending, so it should not be used for long term storage like hardware wallets.

Everyone make sure to update Aqua wallet to latest release 0.2.0.
Fees are drastically reduced anc cheaper now, RBF was introduced for bitcoin on-chain transactions, taproot refunds for failed LN payments.
Another interesting update is that you can accept payment directly in Liquid with enabling Direct Peg-in in advanced settings.

Aqual wallet is good but it is not like Electrum wallet. Their GUI is different but the wallet has its own uniqueness but if talking about bitcoin wallet, there are many things on Electrum that is still not on the wallet. But if a bitcoin wallet can send and have a way to increase transaction fee, the wallet is a good wallet for people that do not need privacy. There are times you may need to use coin control. You are comparing apples and oranges.
Aqua is meant to be used as LIQUID network wallet and that is not supported in Electrum wallet.
You can also use Bitcoin main chain network with Aqua but I wouldn't use Aqua for any long term storage.

If you are using Aqua wallet make sure to download latest update that has some improvements, bug fixes and support for more blockchains for USDT tether.
You can now send and receive USDT from Binance chain, Ton, Solana, Polygon and Ethereum with Tron blockchain was already supported.

This is very good.

Sadly, we don't see many exchanges accepting USDT in liquid network. I would love to see it in big exchanges and in privacy friendly ones such as exch.cx.

P2P works and I don't really care about big centralized exchanges, but with this new receive option you can literally received USDT from all other chains and convert it to L-BTC and vice versa easily, and than back to Bitcoin main chain.
I will try to find updated list of all exchanges that support Liquid network, both L-USDT and L-BTC.

Yeah I know about that, no surprise to see all of them since most of them your mentioned are also members of Liquid federation, but I am not sure if that link of supported exchanges is up to date.
I think I saw Liquid assets on Robosats also, and maybe there are some other centralized exchanges, but it's a big deal to have support in Bisq and PeachBitcoin.
For basic swaps to USDT or L-BTC and vice versa Aqua wallet is more than enough.

Aqua wallet released nice updates recently with adding support for mode blockchains, making it easier to send and receive USDT.
But someone is working on interesting project with adding Aqua wallet support for smartwatches.
This could be very useful and I don't know any other bitcoin wallet that works like that.

- Sending Lightning from AQUA: 0.1%
- Receiving Lightning in AQUA: 0.25%

L-BTC to BTC (Peg In and Peg Out):
- Bridge for Bitcoin and Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC) using SideSwap: 0.1%

L-BTC to L-USDT Swaps:
- Swap L-BTC for L-USDT using SideSwap: 0.6%
