I don't care the way the market is behaving right now but I think Bitcoin should comes before any other coin before you consider any of the altcoin. Bitcoin that I know can ride any run as far as it is concern. It can withstand bull run and it can withstand bear market but if you DCA on altcoins, some of them might never recover again and you will be at lost later.

There is a comfort that comes with Bitcoin investment, it's better you continue to do DCA on Bitcoin than waste your resources and trying to do DCA on altcoins that may never recover. That can be said because using DCA on Bitcoin is secure due to the stability of Bitcoin towards high volatility. Some people prefer Bitcoin as an investment asset and they are fully aware that Bitcoin stands the test of time. At the same time, I am convinced that there are coins with long-term potential that should not be disregarded. Of course, many of alts are highly risky but still there are many of those, that serve new ecosystems or technologies capable to evolve in the farther perspective. Hence, although Bitcoin does happen to be secure, it is advisable to invest in other altcoins that are driven by a roadmap.

One good thing about using the DCA strategy on Bitcoin is that you're almost certain that at the end of the day, you're going to make profit—a feeling you don't get doing same on altcoins. Unless one is a short-term investor that's ready to risk it all to either make profits or suffer huge loss, I don't think there's any reason to stop DCA buying of Bitcoin to use same strategy to buy altcoins

Unless one is a short-term investor that's ready to risk it all to either make profits or suffer huge loss, I don't think there's any reason to stop DCA buying of Bitcoin to use same strategy to buy altcoins

If I prefer to use the DCA method for buying bitcoin because we can buy it gradually and bitcoin is the right choice.
But for buying top altcoins, the risk may not be too big.

Right now, we're in Bitseason, so BTC is soaking up all the capital in the market, which means altcoins haven't been able to pump as strongly as many investors hoped. DCAing BTC has generated significant profits for investors over the past two years because BTC usually rallies before altcoins.
