Dogecoin the oldest meme coins on the crypto economy is striving stronger for an ETF registrations, and recently, Nasdeq has again initiated further boost to the Dogecoin ETF registrations.
I am just imagining the potential of a meme coins, a fun token trading at ETF market, will Dogecoin make any impact on the market if approved?

While I am for sure that soon we could have a Dogecoin ETFs on the market and that it can be a catalyst for others to also file ETFs for similar memecoins, I am not quite sure if SEC will eventually approve another memecoin ETF without first giving time to Dogecoin and its performance in the market. Will it excite the usual investors or will they turn away...let's all find out. While I am supporting Dogecoin ETF am not actually excited for it though am hoping it can be as successful as that of Bitcoin. This news can send the price of Dogecoin to another level and if approval will happen then we can expect it to moon...what will happen afterwards will be another story though.

I guess it is good for dogecoin holders and investors who have intentions of acquiring dogecoin through their etf's. Personally i never believed that we would be discussing a memecoin etf proposal and possible approval. However, at this point, it is obvious that if we are going to get a memecoin etf, it will be Dogecoin and no other.

Its not just 21Shares filing Doge ETF there are few more like Bitwise and Rex Osprey. Are they all sure these cryptocurrencies listed are going to be all approved after SEC review?

The answer could be all yes after all Trump and Atkin seem to be one in mind in supporting cryptocurrency as said in the article SEC is friendlier stance toward cryptocurrencies.

This is really a good news for dogecoin and for its holders, I can remember posts and videos of people back in 2021 when they doubted it, I even saw older videos where people sold their bags of Doge just because they were not sure if it will stay in the market or not.

All this was possible because Elon was behind it, we all know that. If he was not supporting it, I don't think Doge could have made it this far. I have been following the PA of Doge since November 2024 but never bought it. Now I regret it, but still learning can be beneficial in the future. This news might have already been bought and speaking of other meme coins, they will also join the waiting list.

DOGE isn't just any memecoin, it's the original and the most well-known. Its position in the memecoin trend is as significant as BTC's in the entire crypto market. Back in 2021, many people only knew about BTC and DOGE in the crypto space, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if DOGE gets a Spot ETF this cycle.

Compared to many other memecoins in the market, DOGE hasn't really had a spectacular price surge yet. I hope that when the DOGE Spot ETF is approved, FOMO around DOGE will kick in, and DOGE could potentially reach a new ATH at $1. At that point, we can seriously consider DOGE potential to become a widely used payment method instead of BTC.

even if dogecoin etf gets approved, not all memecoins should get approved for an etf let alone even try to seek for a registration and i hope that the standards are maintained for approving etfs otherwise influx of memecoins etf without any utility or so much as a community might ruin the image of cryptocurrency for the general public

well anyway i do not think etf companies would be interested in most of the memecoins anyway since most of them are just a product of pump and dump schemes they should stick with memecoins that have been around for a long time like dogecoin

Is ETF even more effective in terms of investments and moving the price? I think the Dogecoin market is quite big now, and it is hard to really impact it, but we will see if it gets approved. Maybe it just lacks movement at the start, like what happened to Bitcoin when it was approved.

The problem is that meme coins are a general term and most of these projects are pump and dump projects that don't last long, so meme coins ETF will likely be limited to Dogecoin.

Agree. Doge has to be one of the biggest community still. The first usage I have tried for Doge was wagering it on casinos even back in 2016 when its price was less than a cent, its been accepted in most casinos.

There may be few investment management filing its ETF for now but I think they are all buying the doge for preparation of the ETF, its going to go higher fast if they are all filing.

It cannot be as successful as that of Bitcoin because Bitcoin was the first ETF while Dogecoin is not the first ETF to get approved, although it is the first meme coin ETF that can be approved. Which can be a big thing but not bigger than BTC. It can streamline the path for other memecoins ETFs.

But as you mentioned, SEC will first observe the results of this meme coin ETFs before accepting others. I guess old investors won't prefer this highly volatile ETF as they preferred BTC or ETH.
