据Seattletimes报道，美国马里兰州华盛顿县富人男性收到信件威胁，说要将他们不可告人的秘密暴露给他们的妻子，要求提供价值15750美元的比特币保密费。

问题是，这其中有一些人并没有妻子。美国联邦调查局华盛顿办事处发言人Andrew Ames表示，这些诈骗者往往瞄准高收入人群，希望至少成功诈骗一个人。
