去年針對iOS、Android平台推出的《Final Fantasy XV口袋版》，Square Enix稍早宣布在PlayStation 4、Xbox One平台推出HD畫質移植版本，之後也確定將在Nintendo Switch平台推出。


《Final Fantasy XV口袋版》HD畫質移植版本主要針對家用主機使用控制器設計，讓家用電玩主機可透過手持控制器進行操作，並且將遊戲畫質HD化，藉此對應更大尺寸螢幕遊玩使用。

至於遊戲內容基本上與先前《Final Fantasy XV口袋版》相同，一樣改編自《Final Fantasy XV》版遊戲內容，並且讓人物以Q版造型呈現。而與先前在行動裝置上推行的《Final Fantasy XV口袋版》採第一章節免費、其餘章節採單獨銷售模式不同，家用主機版將以完整內容單次銷售，建議售價為2980日圓。

Square Enix預計從即日起至9月13日期間提供開放下載紀念特賣，將以1980日圓特價進行銷售。
