캐셔레스트, 스테이블 코인 '트루USD(TUSD)'와 협력

암호화폐 거래소 캐셔레스트가 암호화폐를 활용한 결제 솔루션 개발에 나선다. 이를 위해 암호화폐 가격 변동성을 최소화하는 이른바 '스테이블코인'인 '트루USD(TUSD)와 전략적 업무협약(MOU)를 체결했다고 29일 밝혔다.

스테이블 코인은 기존 암호화폐의 변동성에 따른 위험을 대비하기 위해 가치를 일정하게 유지하는 암호화폐다. 대표적인 스테이블 코인으로 US달러와 연동하는 방식으로 동작하는 테더(USDT)가 있다. 한국에서는 신현성 티몬 이사회 의장이 주도하는 '테라' 프로젝트가 있다.
