Is BCH worth investing?

In 2017 bitcoin cash price was too high. If you bought this coin at the top definitely it is worthless because new all time high is too hard now. However if you bought this coin at the bottom price it will give you profits.

That was a quote from OP since September 28, 2018, then I checked it now on Coinmarketcap and the value is the same around 522 dollars for the price of 1 Bitcoin Cash. This proves that Bitcoin Cash is like more inclined to 50:50 to be invested because the price from 2018 until now is still stable at 500 dollars and there is no change.
1,422 dollars in 2021 is the peak price of Bitcoin Cash coins from 2018 until now in 2024, maybe that also happened during the Bull Run because looking at the Bitcoin graphic, the price also increased at that time. I'm not sure about investing in Bitcoin Cash because as far as I know, Bitcoin Cash is a hard fork from Bitcoin core.

BCH is not BTC, although BCH was very successful in 2017 when I joined the market, it couldn't set a new ATH in 2021 and this really disappointed many investors. Currently, BCH has only just escaped the bottom and returned to the balance zone at the 0.618 Fibonacci level. This promises the possibility of BCH increasing in price and easily surpassing the 2021 ATH if it continues to receive inflows.

However, if safety is a priority, BTC is always a better choice, while prioritizing profits from ETH and many other L1-L2 like SOL, ADA, DOT, NEAR, SUI, APT, ARB, OP is much more promising than BCH. I don't hate BCH because I haven't lost money from it, but I won't choose it for my portfolio.

That is something that can cause the BCH market to panic (something very common when similar things happen) and completely collapse. Be very careful where to invest in this case, since the economic value of BCH has not yet been affected, it could happen at any time.

2017 is very long ago and maybe I should look for information about BCH from 2017 too. I'm sure if you are very experienced because from year to year you must have memorized how BCH works. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with BCH, so I ignore any information about BCH.

Totally agree with you, Ethereum Layer 2 is very popular and I even keep an eye on their every move in various markets. It is very different from BCH when I see on Binance there is only a 20% increase I ignore it, maybe I like Ethereum or you could say Ethereum maxis.

The price that OP posted it on 2018 was still the same to what we have right now. If you are able to get this from the fork before, that's fine if you want to hold. But if you want to invest, I'd advice you choose a better one and not this one. Just choose any other or might go directly into buying Bitcoin(BTC) instead of Bitcoin Cash(BCH).

I also don't know how involved Ver is with BCH, but I'm sure that, even a little, he is still associated with the project, and that can be a very heavy burden for BCH holders if things go wrong and Ver's problems get worse. What you say is correct, it seems that for a while now everything has calmed down a bit in this sense, I remember that at the beginning, when BCH was launched, everything was a real chaos.

When OP posted this thread the price of BCH was around $523 and now after many years the price is $545 as of 12/10/2024 and surely we can say that there has had never been any significant growth unlike what we witnessed in the original Bitcoin. BCH is just another fork of BTC and am considering it to be a copycat and never be on the same level with Bitcoin. Even with Roger Ver at the helm, BCH just survived but never flourish even compared to Ethereum and other top alts in the market. At this bullish stage, I am not so sure if BCH will also get benefitted or it would just withered more.
