Strategist, global market JPMorgan Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou said that the interest in bitcoin may resurface on wall street, according to an article published by CNBC on February 6.

"The stability we are seeing now in the cryptocurrency market, provides the basis for greater participation of institutional investors in the future," said Panigirtzoglou. "The cryptocurrency market was a new market. He went through a bubble phase."

Panigirtzoglou predicts that firms will exhibit new interest in the cryptocurrency as growth market stability and growth of the importance of block chain technologies. He added that bitcoin's revival could start in a few years as regulators are "a bit slow to realize" the potential of the cryptocurrency.

Many predict that a more active involvement of institutional investors from wall street will bring much-needed capital into the cryptocurrency space, especially after the 2018 markets experienced a bearish year. In June 2018, Cardano (ADA) co-founder Charles Hoskinson said wall street's entry into the sector would bring "tens of trillions of dollars."

However, some reports at the end of last year suggest that wall street has postponed its plans for the cryptocurrency's takeover as the bearish market has continued to lower prices. In late December, Bloomberg reported that major financial sector companies such as the banking giant Goldman Sachs, the multinational financial services company Morgan Stanley, and the banking conglomerate Citigroup Inc. postponed associated with crypto projects.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is still optimistic about the future of bitcoin as BTC is the only cryptocurrency he owns. Dorsey said bitcoin has a " great brand "and that" Bitcoin is sustainable. Bitcoin is fundamental. Bitcoin is the native ideal of the Internet."

Dorsey has gone so far as to say that bitcoin will become the single currency of the world within a decade, saying: "ultimately, the world will have a single currency and the Internet will have a single currency. I personally believe it will be bitcoin."
