Would they limit the internet to take down cryptos?

As long as the internet persists, Bitcoin will be alive. All it needs is the internet, which is by global and unlimited. Even if individual Internet Service Providers were to block access to the Bitcoin network, there will always be alternatives.

No I dont think government will do this kind of desperate moves this will lead into protest of all crypto enthusiast the internet is our freedom and we need freedom no one can control un even government we are not slaves to just agree if they can do what they want to do into crypto we need to unite and fight if this happens.

Anything can happen in totalitarian countries. But in civilized countries, people will destroy such governments that will establish such restrictions, And even more so, limit or destroy the internet. today, the Internet is not only business and financial freedom, but also freedom of speech and freedom to receive any information.

I personally dont think it possible for the government to limit or shut down the internet, i also dont think its possible for them to restrict access to crypto related sites cus the money and time spent on doing this would have been used for several other things that are way more important, if they are shutting the internet down, they can if the city is a small one .

It is a stupid decision if doing so to take down crypto. If they take down the internet, they will take down most industries and activities in the world, not only cryptocurrencies. And, how can an internet provider do this? They need income from using their connection internet from the providers. SO, it means taking down the internet will impact too many aspects.

If someone thinks like that it can be said to be sabotage and of course it will be against the applicable law, and clearly this treatment cannot be tolerated by anyone because internet access is a necessity that almost dominates human life in this century.

but I do not believe it will be done because all the current systems are made in such a way that if there is sabotage there will be other paths that can be done because technological advances cannot be stopped and needs will always be met and updated so that when there is a problem there is a solution.
there is no need to worry excessively with things like this and we just respond casually.

I doubt the government can do that.  I mean how the government will plan to take down something that is not a burden to the community that kinda illogical and poor type of leadership. Many are enjoying the gift of cryptocurrency both rich and poor countries so for me there is no reason to take it down.

When it comes to cryptocurrency, the Internet is the most important thing, the only way they can get rid of cryptocurrency is by taking the Internet down and accessing some cryptocurrency sites. But I don't see any reason why they should remove cryptocurrency

You bet those government that are already hitting on the cryptocurrency transactions will definitely like this but I think that will be the answer because though I might be wrong, Why do people use VPN? to be able to trade from some countries that don't allow crypto trading. I believe there will definitely be a way out even if something like that happens.

We can always use VPN, proxies, proxy tunnels... There is a wide variety of options when it comes to circumventing any restriction that has to do with the Internet connection. Governments know, if they still want to impose restrictions on citizens, it will give another sign of their inability to get things done.

I agree with what many people say, I don't think this would happen. Even if governments ban cryptos, restricting access to websites is not likely to happen, at least not in places where capitalism is in place.

They can obviously do this if they want but i don't think they will do so. But we can't say anything about the future. If crypto start destroying the economy or it goes out of control then it may happen.

@robert20 governments can try, but they know they will only make a fool of themselves. How many governments have tried to eliminate and ban downloads of "illegal" content (movies, music, games) from the Internet?, many governments have tried. How many governments have succeeded?, none, people keep downloading the same as years ago.

I believe that only developers of various software that are used as a VPN and allow users to get any content and access to any resources, including those related to the cryptocurrency market, have succeeded in this matter. the government can't do anything about it.
