You are making it sound like Ethereum's price is the reason why many erc-20 tokens failed and not considering the fact that most of these projects are too weak to survive a bear market. By "too weak" I mean, they are shitty  in the first place.

If you are basing the worthiness of a project on ethereum's price increase, maybe you should just invest in Ethereum and not in any of these tokens. To me, you can't clearly distinguish the importance of use cases yet.

I wouldn't bundle all erc20 tokens as worthy or not. The projects vary so much and some of them don't even have any development going on. Then there are placeholder tokens that are just there before projects finish making their own first layer solutions.
