in a situation like this expecting a new token growth that could displace Ethereum is something that is not possible, we never know in its heyday many new projects with a lot of good token growth have been buzzing several times that this new token will overtake Ethereum.

Yes I agree, at this situation like now, I think It is not possible new coin can beat ethereum. Ethereum is so popular and bigger community. I also see many new coin is fail and scam. Maybe when the bull market come and the coin is more stable, we will see the new coin will have good progress.

Everything is possible, But not now. It will take several years again. Ethereum is bigger community because Ethereum now smart contract platform. Many tokens have integrated to this coin . Not easy for new coin can beat ethereum.

Can you make it more specific, mate? Beat ETH in what matter? If you mean to beat ETH for its popularity, I think it will be hard for new coins. Also, if you mean to beat the market cap, it is too hard for new coins. So, in my opinion, new coins will be difficult to beat ETH, ot even it is a bit impossible. Not only new coins, but old altcoins also seem to get difficulties to beat ETH.

I think it is not possible to catch up ETH market by others because ETH has good marketing strategy by management. At the dump season of market many coin try to beat ETH but could not succeed though xrp once time beat it for short period. But at that time market was very much imbalanced and investors was in hesitation to choose right coin. So now ETH 2.0 coming to make strong ETH policy so i am not believing another cryptocoin can beat ETH.

Why it is not possible? There is no impossibility word in the crypto world. Any new coin like Compound coin can beat Ethereum but it is very difficult to beat. Recently Compound coin price touched $300. If it can hit 1000X pump, it can beat any time. So nothing is impossible but beating ETH is very very difficult in reality.

And Ethereum is in the second position among all the coins. So no coin has been able to remove Ethereum from the second position till today.
