I prefer Steemit. To make money on Medium you need to be behind the paywall and I have an aversion to paywalls.

Remember that it is not that easy to earn on steemit as we do see. many people think you get paid for every content written on steemit but that isn't the case. you have to be upvoted by those with high steem powers to earn something good.
